Should I know what you're talking about? :D

Indeed you should.

But it appears you haven't yet caught up on all the missed activity while you were gone, which is no surprise 'cause you'd probably be reading about a hundred pages at least.

So allow me to suggest that you start reading here at the start of the relevant parts, and let us know when you're all caught up.

Yes, lady Tuyen (is it still acceptable to call you that?), you are right. I have failed to read those 100+ pages! Thank you, I'll do as you say and let you know how it goes ;)

"Lady Tuyen"...

Wow...that brings back memories..

Ok am on page 185 now but can't wait any longer:
Haaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahhah I've been laughing so much!! I've missed this thread!! Why can't you guys (for me pretty pleaseee?) wake up let's say 6-9 hours earlier so I could actually get to talk with you all? :D
I don't know what to say...the waxing conversation sure made me laugh out loud. Funny thing is no one here (i'm at work) even said anything, they must be thinking this visa process is just too much fun.
Oh and also, hey yeeeees even if I'm not as active as I should, please tuyen, I want to meet you guys too! I don't mind flying, or taking the train, or bus or anything! Please, tuyen, please??? ;D

Oh the laughs were just beginning in the 180s..

Wait until the upper 190s and early 200s..

I'm soo not a morning person...so depending on what part of the world you're in, I don't know how our schedules would mesh. However, there's always bound to be somebody who's awake when you are. Like now, for instance, I'm the only one still awake in this part of the world (Toronto), while everyone else is sleeping. But when I go to sleep, they'll all be waking up and you'll have loads of people to keep you company.

Moonshine: candy lady has my vote. Final approval rests with you.

I'm in Northern Europe :)
I will try my best to get an approval from Halfmoon! Thank you tuyen for the support!

Halfmoon: I hope you will have time to consider my application.

Yes, I mean as happy as I am for those who got news faster, I guess I just wanted them to process the applications in some order! There are still people who applied in November that haven't heard from CIC and a looooot of people who applied in December have. Well, it is what it is I guess. Right now I'm not expecting to hear from them for months, but it's good to know they have our file. Let's see how I feel about this in May! If those who applied after us will all land before me I might disappear again hahaha!

It's true though, this forum helps a lot. It's good to talk to others who are going through the same process :)

Oh, I certainly know what you mean! Our file sat in the the visa office for more than 6 months (I know this from the GCMS notes) and no movement whatsoever. In the mean time, certain group of applicants were being processed and their visas were being issued. It feels awkward to say the least- but there is always some factors we are unaware of in each office. In our case, for example, the issue was the closure of the Damascus office due to the situation in Syria, and the transfer of all those files to our visa office. Nevertheless, it feels awkward and even though I feel happy for everybody who gets their visas, I just want ours to come as well.

I tried for some time to rationalize timelines and such, and finally I decided it's really bad for my moral and sanity! So I avoid that at all costs, and try to distract myself from the visa thoughts. I know it'll come sooner or later. So all we can do is wait (I have to add that for me this is sometimes easier said than done!)

Hang in there :)

Thanks! Yeah...my waiting time is nothing for sure, I mean all I wanted was to get to Stage 2 and now that we're finally there I know the "real thing" is only about to begin so I am patient again! :D
But wow...I do hope you get yours soon!!!

Hi,

I happened to bump into this thread today and it took me a while to go through this 200+ interesting pages(honestly not all of them though!) of an active thread which got started just a few weeks ago(whao!)...Before I even wrote my first comment, made it a point to give +1s to all active members of this post(or who posted the max comments)...you must have noticed it too...Had this 168 hrs restriction not there, I would have given more. Thanks Moonie for starting it...It was real fun reading about the soon to happen 2 week long party...+ a week of preparation + a week of recovery ...agenda...what and what not! Though I'm not an applicant in the same category, it all comes down to spending life in Canada...It was so irresistible not to write any comment at all for all the fun and entertainment out here... Keep rolling...cheers...

PS: Moonie, please don't add an additional 'S' to my name cuz of your special love... ;)

Yaay! New peeps!

And I LOVE your signature ASK! :)
