Oh my god...what kind of freakish 11-year-olds pressure other 11-year-old girls to SHAVE??

Do you even HAVE hair that's at all visible when you're 11, let alone enough that would warrant shaving?

My mom and my friends, who were all 11 as well, would sit around and talk about it, then tell me how gross I was. I couldn't have cared less. I was 11 and wanted to be a kid. I don't think I started shaving my legs until 15 or 16... don't really remember because its not that important.

Probably would've helped too, if Mom sat down with me and actually talked about things, like puberty, growing up, etc, instead of making fun of me in front of friends and ignoring me the rest of the time......... but whatever. You win some, you lose some.

On the shaving note, when I was 9 I took my mom's razor and shaved my arms because they were hairy (fine little hairs lol). My poor mother.

Agreed! I also liked Mrs Parker's idea about all the pillows to keep her safe! Can't have her hurting herself before hubby gets here!!!

Just want you all to know I have so much love for you all. The laughter is what has kept me sane. It's guaranteed here on this thread.


I never knew that just one post would have created a chain of friendships (do you know I went back after to try to delete that first post but it wouldn't delete thinking it was a stupid topic?). Fast forward a couple of months and a few thousand posts later.
