Yes it means that u have to provide a return envolop with a airway bill .
whats ur yahoo chat id . i will explain to u

Alhamdulillah I got my visa and confirmation of permanent residence forms (COPR) today.

I notice a possible error in COPR. My marital status code is 1 while my wife's is 2. I think 1 stands for SINGLE and 2 for MARRIED. Can someone please check this in your form and advise? (esp. if the code for yourself and spouse is different or same.. may be it has some other meaning than what I think)

I see the same in family code i.e. 1 for me and 2 for wife but I think that is correct (1=principal applicant, 2=dependant). Can you confirm this as well please?

Lastly, in accompanying family members field, on my form my wife's given name is mentioned only while in her form my full name is mentioned. Is that how it is generally or this is also a mistake? Concerned because this relates to names which is important data.

Regards

Congratulations ashaf79. I don't have our CoPR at hand at the moment. When I get home I will have a look and see if there is any correlation with yours. Hopefully, someone might have come up with a reply before then.

LVO clearly says not to attach return airway bill, ppl do it for their respective reasons.
I sent only self addressed envelop.

Let me start by saying a big congratulations to you and your family for a dream come true(:
Under the personal details section of my copr, my marital status is not coded (with any number)but clearly marked as MARRIED. I will suggest that you leave the interpretation and decoding to the Imo at po and just enjoy your achievement. However if you are convince and have evidence to justified your claim then you will need to get this sorted ASAP.

Hi,

As already pointed out by other forum members, if you are in the position to obtain a machine readable passport before your PPR, I will advice you do so as soon as possible. Most countries have phased out the old style passport. Apart from your PR processing, it may pose difficulties with security clearance when you travelling across most countries, Canada inclusive. I doubt very much if the delay with your PPR has anything to do with your passport format. However, when you obtain a new machine readable passport, you will have to send LVO a copy of the information page. Who knows, it may wake somebody up to have a look at your file. That's assuming you wouldn't have got your PPR by then.

All the best.

hi 9j, aquib, sho78, sherin and other friends,

i had sent my enquiry about the non-machine readable passport issue to my consultant. They asked me to forward them the copy of the passport again to check and then informed me that I didn't need to change the passport. They say it will pose no problem with visa stamping or landing. Anyways, I have sent an email to the Canadian embassy in Abu Dhabi that serves this region and let's see what they have to say about it. Thanls for all your advice.

Ok. Your choice really, but is there any reason why you may be reluctant to get a machine readable passport? As I said, most countries have phased it out and it could potentially cause you delay if you have to travel through some countries. Your choice really, if you are ok with what you have.
