hi,

I did meds in jan, med received line appeared in apr and till now no PPR. Last message from VO was last week saying "file awaitng review after intial bk checks'. I too feel the file is on hold like many others. I think there are many on the same boat, so please join my new thread about the same. thanks

I seriously think that our (MI-1) PPRs ( Medical Done on Feb, March ,April) are on hold for unknown reason.

Otherwise background check for 5 to 6 months doesn't make any sense ,when the same process of background check completed in 2-3 months for previous applicants

Hi cyma,

have started the below thread for the less fortunates like us. Please join

Hi canada100, thank you for your reply. I did medicals in july, so I suppose I can wait a few more months before getting worried. I just wanted to know how far this wait can go and your experience horrifies me. I wonder why they send people med request if they have no facilities to finish checks before med expiry.

I agree with you my frined. But I think you should give it at least 5 mnths after medicals before chasing the VO for PPR

Just hang in there by a tread of faith and everything would just be fine.

I received the PPR by email this evening, but ecase still shows in process

Congrats! I am glad they did not let your medicals expire. Would you please advise how old are now your police clearance certificates? Are they still "younger" than one year? I just wonder whether they will ask me again PCCs.

Bro, all my PCCs were obtained before applying in March 2011. They never asked me for new PCCS, dont know why. Bro, can you tell me why your PPR was cancelled? How long after the issue date was it cancelled? How did they let you know it was cancelled? Did you send the passports before the cancellation came to you? Very eager to know

Thanks a lot for your reply. This is the e-mail we received from London on August 8th

"On 30 July 2012, a letter was sent to your mailing address requesting that the applicant submit her passport for visa issuance. This email is to request that you do not submit the passport at this time. The officer in charge of the application has determined that further background checks will be required which will likely take at least a month to complete".

At the time when we received this, the mailed PPR had not arrived yet. So I did not send my passport luckily.
