Congratulations Champ.

You will get clear instructions what to do in PPR2. Most probably, you will use VFS services to send and receive passports.

PR visa is not required to be stamped on US passport as it is visa exempt country. If you will send US PP copy of your son in PPR1, then you will receive only COPR for your son but not PR visa.
Thanks a lot for the information. Will COPR document will be enough for his land and PR card? Are you suggesting that I should submit his passport for visa?
Do you advise if I should contact VO for further guidance?

If you are going to use his US PP, then only COPR will be enough for him to land. Please note that PR visa is single entry visa which is issued to enter into the Canada. Since your son has US PP, he can enter on his PP without requiring any visa. Therefore, you will produce only COPR to show his permanent residency status. You can submit his US PP at the time of PPR2, but you will not get any visa stamped on his PP; don't take tension brother. Once you receive PPR2, you can ask from VO for your satisfaction.
