May be in loncan's case, as he is from visa-exempt country, got the COPR faster!!!!

Hi to All,

I submitted my Passport through Visa Application Centre(VAC) in London which is basically a VFSGLOBAL office on 29th April, 2014. Is anyone here who exprienecd the same method of Passport submission like me. VAC gave me time of 7 woring days and still I am waiting for their call, sms or email. I understand It is very surprise for you guys to know the new procedure of passport submission for UK residents. BUT THIS IS THE MESSAGE ON LAST PAGE OF PPR FORM.


Submitting your passport(s), photos and updated information

For security reasons, your visa(s) can only be issued by our office in London. You must submit your package through the Visa Application Centre (VAC) in London. *( please note fees apply)
To submit your package via the Visa Application Centre (VAC):
Please visit the VAC website for details on how to submit your package for secure transmission and for issuance of the permanent resident visa(s). http://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/UnitedKingdom/index.html
You should expect to be without your passport(s) for six weeks, so do not arrange any travel that will require your passport(s) during this period.
If you have not heard from us after six weeks, you may contact us using the email form on our website. We will not respond to queries received during this six week period.

What is the suggestion for me guys, first should I wait for six week then contact them or as per VAC instruction a week later.

By the grace Allah and continuous supporting from forum members, at last I received my passport with VISA+CORP from LONDON VAC(VFSGLOBAL OFFICE) and I am planning to land Canada in August.
Now plz guide me, how do I start preparation and what additional documents should I updated before travelling.

Ya thanks, I started feeling the same. I don't know why for each and every step they takes so much of time.

Any ways, no other option rather than waiting enjoy the Ramadan office timings.

Thanks a lot Outstandinguy. I am aware of this .

The intent was to have the DD from Exchange vs Banks to get better rates, any how that is solved now as I have checked they have stopped issuing it now.

The only option as excepted POF are:-

1. Cash if taking more than 10k CAD$ just needs to declare at airport, they may check some of the currency notes.
2. DD or TC we can take 1st time en number amount of money, as after that there would be taxes even you bring 1 'loonie' in town.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. If you are carrying considerably large amount of money better take DD or open the account and transfer the money into that like Scotia bank does and the A/C will be operated once you land in Canada and have SIN number.
4. Other option is that we can do bank A/C transfer unless you have account since we will be going for first time we will not be having that.

Is Milt. Service in Pak mandatory?

If you are going to use his US PP, then only COPR will be enough for him to land. Please note that PR visa is single entry visa which is issued to enter into the Canada. Since your son has US PP, he can enter on his PP without requiring any visa. Therefore, you will produce only COPR to show his permanent residency status. You can submit his US PP at the time of PPR2, but you will not get any visa stamped on his PP; don't take tension brother. Once you receive PPR2, you can ask from VO for your satisfaction.

Yes, else you have to make declaration, better what ever you have take it 1st time.
