IELTS scored 24 marks-I don't know what exactly he got in each ability but got full score
Application filed in July (not sure of exact date but late July), PER in early October

CIIP - Canadian Immigrant Integration Program is designed to prepare new immigrants to integrate into Canadian Economy smoothly & effectively. It is not mandatory for everyone to attend but it can really make difference. Quoting from the official CIIP website:

Through participating in CIIP pre-departure orientation and planning sessions, skilled immigrants to Canada should:

◾have a more realistic understanding of the opportunities and challenges they may face;
◾make better informed decisions about the choices available to them; and
◾be better equipped to secure appropriate employment.

It can be divided into three sections:

Group Orientation (GO) Workshop

During the one-day group orientation (GO) workshop, you will BE INFORMED about:

◾Job Prospects. Find out what Canada has to offer on a geographic and sectoral basis and how to maximize the opportunities.
◾Job Readiness. Find out about potential challenges and how you can minimize risks by preparing while you are still in your home country.
◾Job Search. Learn job search strategies, tools and the different types of jobs in Canada. Also be introduced to CIIP partners who can help you navigate through your job search journey -- employers, recruitment agencies, educational institutions, credential and assessment bodies and immigrant serving organizations in Canada.
◾Job Retention. Aside from finding employment, it is also important to be able to keep a job. Understand the Canadian workplace and its culture, so that you can begin to adapt.

Individual Planning Session

My Action Plan - What You Need to Do (Pre-departure and In Canada)

During the one-hour planning session (1.5 hours for couples), you will work with a CIIP Orientation Officer to develop a MY ACTION PLAN (MAP) to guide your immigration journey.

This personalized plan will guide you on what you can do to prepare before you leave your country of origin and once you arrive in Canada. It will encourage you to take action and provide you with immediate sources of ongoing support.

On-line Advice

Referrals to Canada-based Organizations

Beyond the one-and-a-half days of orientation and planning, you will BE CONNECTED when you get access to our on-line tools, including:

◾Web-based project tools: Online referrals to partners in Canada
◾Preliminary online equivalency of credentials
◾ Sector-specific online presentations
◾ Sector-specific assessment and credentialing tools
◾ Live online employer workshops
◾Live online mentoring
◾Facilitated online job preparation workshops linked to an online job matching service

Sorry for asking. Feeling shy. But I need a cover letter format to send my PCCs to LVO. I have written a letter. But it seems not OK.

Wish my seniors will send me one.
