25 months exactly. This is why i even started this thread. The majority of applicants are be processed and issued visa and we are being told 25 months. 25 BLOODY months.

More and More people need to contact the minister. Please urge people todo this otherwise I'm telling you all we will be waiting over 2 years.

omgg 25 months of wait :( :( :( their reply is for sure killing n indicating a longggggggggggg wait :(
how come they answered early 2014 for others then....they should know that we have been promised by minister to get visa in 1 year time 8) 8)

anyhow guys please still be positive...ndvo has also got a timeline shown of 22 months...but they processed quite early so we can be positive about the situation still.
i think we all shouldn't panic before march 2014....but ofcourse contacting the minister is always a good choice and there is no harm..so deifinitely do contact him...

Dear LVO fellows,

I am still optimistic regarding the processing time. The processing time of 25 months is average processing time of 80% of applications 2010 onwards till today which doesn't mean that 80% FSW 2013 willl also be processed in 25 months. They can't promise in written that FSW 2013 will be processed under 1 year or so but they simply refer to most recent processing time. Replying in this way is totally normal and standard practice of Governental offices all over the world.

I will give examples of other VOs especially NDVO having similar processing time. Many of applicants have already recieved MR in less than 8 months of FSW 2013 program start. Let's see how things work out in next couple of months at LVO as couple of our fellows have already recieved positive response from LVO. I am hopeful to get PR in 2nd or 3rd quarter of 2014.

hey members, just to share something with u people. I had sent an email to the minister to change my VO from LVO to Paris, received a reply today

Dear XXXXXXXXXXX

Thank you for your email of November 17, 2013, addressed to Mr. Chris Alexander, Canada's Citizenship and Immigration Minister, concerning your application for permanent residence under the Federal Skilled Worker Program. I apologize for the delayed response.

Please be assured that Citizenship and Immigration Canada reviews all applications objectively and consistently to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all applicants. We assess each application on its own merit against the program requirements.

We realize that those who have submitted their applications look forward to a decision being rendered within a reasonable waiting period after applying. We make every effort to deal with the applications we receive in the most efficient and effective way. However, the many steps involved in processing an application, coupled with the volume of applications, sometimes make it difficult to conclude cases in as timely a manner as we would like.

Our records confirm that your application was received in September 2013 at the Canadian High Commission in London, where it is currently in queue to be reviewed by an officer. Please rest assured that you will be contacted should additional information, documentation, or a personal interview be required.

Current statistics based on historical processing data indicate that officers in London are finalizing 80% of applications in this category in approximately 25 months from the date of receipt of the completed application. Therefore, it appears that this application is proceeding normally with no unexpected or unwarranted delays.
Thank you for taking the time to write. I hope that this information is helpful.

Sincerely,

G. Holmes

I agree - we have cause to be optimistic.

We can choose to believe:

a) the programme assistants who say Early 2014
or b) an assistant to a minister in a different office comparing to some 2010 figures
or c) a minister who sets 12 month target

Personally I choose to believe (a) since they are the most likely to know what is happening in their own offices.

BTW - some more thoughts on the 25 month figure:

1. We can probably expect an update to the 25 month figure at the end of this month (it is updated each quarter), and since the folks they are finishing processing in 2013 have been waiting a very long time it would not be surprising if the 25 month figure increases

2. If applications from 2010 took 25 months, and the programme didn't open in 2012, then for FSW 80% of the apps would be finished in 2013, so the interesting figure will be what the backlog is next time they publish that.

Let us not give up hope :)

Hope we all get our MR's soon!

I have a Question,
After waiting for my PER for over than 2 months of CC charge,
I emailed CIC inquiring about my application and they forwarded the e-mail that included my my file number and they told me that my file was transferred to LVO.

But while i was checking the forwarded e-mail i figured out that the reason behind of not receiving the PER earlier was because they made a typo in my e-mail address and sent the file number to a wrong e-mail address. (they mistaken number 1 and replaced it with letter l )

(I am 100% sure that i filled my e-mail address correctly in the application)

However now i want to update my e-mail address in LVO, so they send my MR to the correct e-mail.
How can i contact them ?

Thanks
Joe

Has anyone had a response from the minister to their emails? I had a generic reply saying I would hear back within 30 days but that has passed and I haven't heard anything!

The sad thing is, is that it's so easy for them to ignore us.

Sorry, I meant has anyone else had a response.....

I changed my mind after reading your posts guys and will not try to change my VO (even though it's not gonna happen). You all are blessed persons and it's my honor to be by your side until all of us receive the good news.
