this rule apply only on Pakistani applicant..... CIC completes BGC in much quicker time for applicants other than Pakistan....

No MM2, I think most of the countries under LVO takes a lot of time for BGC , SC etc etc, but for Pakistanis if it is true than 6 months from now means landing in Nov or Dec .............. in chill weather :-X :-X

Even after a long weekend there are only 4-5 good news only...............Wake up, LVO wake up give the mates some good news.

HELP NEEDED.few days back i sent my daughters new passport copy to london office b/c the earlier one was expired and got this email from london office ,

Dearxxx,

This email is in regards to your application for permanent residence to canada.

we recently received the additional documents that you sent to our London office,with regard to your daughter's new
passport details.

However when reviewing your application we notice that your processing fee($1400 CAD banker's cheque) was returned to you by our CIO collegues in canada.in order to continue processing your application,we require the additional documents listed below.

Cost Recovery processing fee- $ 1400 CAD Bank Draft,made payable to ,The Receiver General of canada.

The forms of payment accepted by our office in london are listed on our website.Residents of pakistan: unlike
the visa office in islamabad, we do not accept direct deposit payments to the standard chartered bank, pakistan.

Seems that by mistake your fee is returned by CIC staff, check if you get it back and resubmit as requested at your earliest.

Ok then open the communication bridges. Email them back mentioning the same and clear the confusion or raise CSE for clarification.

I think email is better as they contacted you through email, so reply back and ask questions or inform them that you have not received the Cheque.

MM2, do you remember the strike of Canadian VOs across the world, I think their wages were not increased and that is why they are taking revenge from us. Have you seen the news in yesterday's news paper that Guinness Book of World record team was invited to record the world slowest processing competition at LVO. :-\

This is quite pathetic by CIC. Brother i think u should consult your bank and check whether payment was made. i dont know if ur bank will help coz its been long...

i think at the time of initial application you prayed alot and that's why they proceed with your application without fee....

well i will suggest you to send them email and ask for further clarification.... and mean time pay the fee (you are not left with any other option) you can take draft copy to issuer bank and ask them for proof if draft was encashed....

take a copy of the draft to issuer bank... they can track it for you and provide you the proof.... then you can present it to LVO..... nothing to worry about as its their fault....

they keep record of each any every transaction.... so he will definitely be able to get the proof.

Hi,

See first thing first your DD would have get expired till now. So either you get it returned from CIO or LVO or not doesn't matter.
As banks have policy of unclaimed DD if not presented by someone for claim until 1 year from the date of issue the amount will go to the bank's trust. You can reach the bank saying that the recipient has lost the DD hence would like to claim the DD, at least the banks in UAE have this policy.

Going ahead make the new DD and send it to LVO.

I know one person within our forum from (PAK) same thing happened with him also he came know to this thing from his GCMS notes as this was mentioned in his GCMS, he clarified the same thing with VO during his interview. I don't have any further update but seems like he did send the new DD to LVO.

What May applicants on the forum did wrong, that LVO is not opening their file and entertaining the hidden applicants ones

VOs not only work on FSW but also PNP, Sponsorship cases etc... before i was assuming that their is separate VOs for each class....

i think they have lots of work load....
