Hi there,
I am new to this forum and would like to share my old case...as if anyone else has the same situation and what is the recent status.

We received your application for permanent residence on June 17, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on October 16, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application and supporting documents were received by the London England office. They are pending review.

Your application was reviewed and we started processing on May 4, 2012.

After this in April 2014 they requested me to send all the forms again with updated information. As then my husband was working in saudi arabia they send me the second email at the end of April 2014 to send his PCC, which was sent and received on 9th May 2014. Since then I have not received any email. What shall I do? Shall I send them email to inquire about my application or just wait. My VO/Representative is MCH.

Waiting for the suggestions.
Thanks

Sounds like you're back in processing as of April. You're entitled to ask the status of your application, but rather than bother them with a question right now it is probably best to give them a few weeks to sign-off the PCC and finish processing first.
If you're curious what has happened so far you could request GCMS notes at any time.

sent you PM... please reply

There seems to be a bit of thought here going into what visa officers are handling who, and what tasks.
I thought I would add my thoughts:

1. Who are the Senior Visa Officers? Well they are disclosed publicly here: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/308817/LDL__May_2014-.pdf - just search the document for Canada and look for "1st Secretary (Immigration)"

2. Who handles a file? In my case it has been assigned to a senior VO ever since the interview, but other tasks - the selection for interview, the email for it, the request for meds and processing of RPRF have all been by different officers. It makes sense that different people would be working on different tasks. If you look in your GCMS notes, the "Application Assignment" will tell you who currently has responsibility for your file.

Congratulations Msaeed, Janie and ShanuTiger on next step of application process and I wish you all a successfull & speedy process.

Congratulations to everyone who got update/good news from LVO as I am not active on the forum due to busy schedule these days.

I can understand that most of us are frustrated due to slow application processing at LVO as compared to NDVO but believe me, if we are working as VO at LVO, we would be working at same speed. I believe that they are professional people and know how to perform their duties. We have to keep in our mind that this is their job and there is no benefit to work fast or slow as they have to do same activities as long as they work at LVO as VO. It has also been discussed several times that LVO is unique VO because it is handling several countries at the moment, therefore delays aren't unusual.

True.... but i think VOs, assistants need to do a crash course on "Fast Processing" :P

Bye the way, we were promised to complete the processing in one year, and after one year they just opened my file and many are still waiting even after a year ???

Not only this they announced new program for 25000 immigrants, one of my friend in Canada informed me that "Conservative Party" announced it cuz next year they have elections, so it is basically a political gimmick 8) .
Well lets hope for the best for us ! Wake up LVO, wake up, move fast :-\

Stranger Friendly,

I suggest you not to write name of any VO/PA but just wirte initials. They always reply with their initials therefore we should repsect it and shouldn't write their names.

This is my suggestion with which anyone can disagree.

You are right, that is why I always refrain from using full names , instead only the first which is a common name (not points to any specific individual). But yes will edit in my next post.

My suggestion is to raise CSE , order GCMS and do what ever you can , as you have all the right to know the status of your case. Make them realise that your case is delayed and have crossed the normal time limit.

MM2, do you remember the strike of Canadian VOs across the world, I think their wages were not increased and that is why they are taking revenge from us. Have you seen the news in yesterday's news paper that Guinness Book of World record team was invited to record the world slowest processing competition at LVO. :P ;) :-\
