Renewal of Passport
Under Passport & Visa Manual 2006, there is no restriction for renewal of passport before its expiry. Passport having full validity of 5/10 years can be issued to the applicants even if existing passport has not completed its validity. However, a statement mentioning the reason for obtaining a new passport before its expiry may be obtained from the applicant. The existing passport may be cancelled and returned to the applicant. All other formalities may also be completed in the case.

haha, I guess. I'll have to automatically wait 10 - 12 days for the passports to arrive, and than inform + send copies to LVO about this change. I am thinking to add 2 photos of each as well, and manually make it a PPR1 ;D ha ha ha

Buddy wait......I received first reply (telling me that file is awaiting review by Immigration Officer) on Apr 03, 2014 and then on May 13, 2014 I received RPRF email.

But I dont know when the status changed to "file waiting for review".... It might be happened in April but I came to know only when i raised a CSE...anyways we dont know at all what they want and why they are using delay tactics without any obvious reason...by the way, Ahmed79 got his PPR on around 20 Mar without any RPRF request and later on VCM realized that he forgot to request the fee and then sent RPRF request on 30th Mar....so our main target and goal is to get the PPR and Visa and they should start PPRs in flow now so that we can plan landing before winter...

Buddy, you can renew your Pakistani passport within 1 year of its expiry without giving any reason. I have done it, therefore it is 100% my own experience.

Passport must be valid for minimum 6 months to get a visa stamped, therefore it is logical to allow passport holder to renew his/her passport within 1 year of its expiry so that passport holder can plan his/her travels without any issue.

Yes you should go for a renewal. Moreover, your old machine readable passport will remain valid until the last day of its expiry even if you get the new passport.
I know you shall not do this however just explaining the process here that, no matter if you get the new passport and send old passport to Canadian embassy for visa stamping, this will still work.

I went through this fiasco that's y I am aware and guess what I got caught into this situation when I was going for my marriage to Pakistan 6 months ago :-\
Alhamdulillah everything was worked out just few hours prior to my plane departure time

I must say they are overworked. They should announce new vacancies and consider us (esteemed forum members) for those positions 8)

Actually I think they have been recruiting, there was a trainee present during my interview.

Hi Friends I need your help!!!

:-\ I am bit stress after reading lot of different information regarding Immigrant Summary Form .

I am not sure why LVO request Immigrant Summary Form to me and only few people. I am bit tens, Is that something serious issue with my case. The good thing is that they request medical and RPRF as well. But why Immigrant Summary Form ???

could you please share your experience abut Immigrant Summary Form.
