But then jigzyy, I personally don't think that anonymous visit to your LinkedIn profile is for any sort of verification. Afterall, you have already done your interview since February and medical. Before vo determines that interview is necessary for any applicant, they would have done their verification. So, don't take it serious. It could be anybody but definitely not from cic 3rd party agencies.

I agree with Hila on this, we have been interviewed, gets MR too. They would have done all this before not now. It's the time for S/C checks related to your PP and other things credibility these type of checks comes under B/G for eligibility. As we have passed all those stages now just being analyzed under 'Admissibility- S/C checks'.

In an nutshell...Under admissibility they check the credibility of the applicant their PP etc with international organizations database like Interpol etc...

Security & Criminality Checks:
A part of the b/ground checks is the 'Security Check'. It commences after our med results are submitted to the CHC. This is a major activity -mainly concerning our 'safe inclusion' into the Canadian Soil; vis-a-vis, Political, Socio-Econmical, Anti-Social disposition, perceived Threat to Canada's integrity etc. This gets us the SDEC, CDEC & SECCRIM.

This is a serious & time-consuming stage, involving many agencies, including CSIS, Interpol, NASC, Database Checking & touch-base with Local Police. Many things are considered here... the No. of countries visited, Applicant coming from 'certain' countries, ex-Servicemen [including Law Enforcement services], Prolonged stay in a country w/out sufficient docs to prove cause, frequent traveling to certain nations, your *Name (?), Inter-Religion/Nationality Marriages etc.

If everything is simple & straight, the file soon gets into the 'final review' stage. If there are any 'red flags', our case goes into a 'spin'. Then our file might go to the local Police/CID agencies; the outcome/timeframe of which is beyond the control of CIC. And thereby the timeframe can be anything [sometimes beyond 1yr]. But, usually this stage should be over by 5 months max. However, a point to be noted is that we can also be called for an Interview [at this stage], due to this reason.

-Culmination: Only upon security clearance we receive the PPR.
-Timeframe: Around 2-6 months. Avg. 3 months. [With new system, sometimes PPR is clubbed with Meds]
-eCAS: Still 'In Process', but 'Med Results Recd.' inside.

*Yes, that's how a certain Mr. Sharukh Khan was detained for 4.5 hrs in an US port. He was a VIP, thus 4.5 hrs. For u & me -things could be different.

guys plz...reply this time..!! its been 2 yrs complete..ecas shows in process...however recently been asked updated schedule A and family info forms for background check...asked my lawyer to apply for gcms notes in jan..havent received anything yet...I want to apply again for gcms to know whats going on..is there any way I can apply myself from a site..not thru anyone in Canada etc..and is it ok to apply again for gcms notes with a gap of 3 months in b.w jan and may..plz help folks..

No friend you can't apply GCMS. Only a PR or a Canadian can apply.

If do not have any one in Canada, you have to go thro' agent. After anyone apply they will get auto reply. How come you didn't receive. Some thing strange. check the black sheep.

I had a GCMS that didn't show up. We asked them why, and ordered another one (as it would be out of date anyway). They said there was a "technical error" and sent it the same day we asked.

Point is - it does happen, just drop the ATIP people an email (or in your case get your agent to I suppose) - they will sort it out.

So guys there was no call during these two days and believe me in these two days i kept mobile in front of me as in past movies boys kept photos of their mistress in front of them .......Now Soon I will send Fee of 980 Canadian Dollar .........Insallah .......

According to ECAS , they have started processing my application on 5th , Feb 2014 where they request from me to send new PCC form UAE although i have sent one in my application which was valid . i have sent the document after a week and till this date i didn't receive any update or MR request nor nothing.

what they are doing exactly in LVO now with my application ?
