Hi guys...I received another reply from vcm who is program assistant today regarding my CSE.
he/she says that my file is awaiting review by an immigration officer n they will be in contact with further instructions once the review has taken place. They also mentioned tht passport copies r updated.


im actually confused n surprised with their reply as I was thinking they would mention abt bg checks running.


any ideas guys...?

VCM is shudh clerck.
In June 2012 he responded to my email that they will intimate me about decision by Aug 31,2012
In September 2012 , in response to my CSE , he responded that LVO has never received my file , and I must contact NS office
In October 2012 (after 10 days) he responded that my file is waiting review

Seems to be "Sifarshi"
Do not trust him

This is not sure your ecas update before or the same day...some time it update after week or some time they never update the ecas

Your BG security checks must have been completed and VCM must have received the CSIS report and finally your file is in queue for PPR issuance - see it this way. Don't get confused.....InshaAllah you'll be getting PPR soon.

Right after my medicals I wrote LVO via CSE asking to let me know the progress of my case. VCM replied (BTW I also got the response from VCM) that "at this point in time, routine background checks are running and we are waiting for the results to be received" - I also shared his / her reply in the forum. In his / her reply, by using word "results to be received" it is apparent that LVO is waiting the results to be received from some other party / authority.

This further confirms my intuition in the following two ways:

1- We cannot expect a reply that was sent mistakenly to TWO of the applicants.
2- After completion of BG security clearance, CSIS sends the advice / report to respective VO. At that stage the VO finally re-examines just to make sure that all the requirements have been met before issuing passport request to the applicant (this is mentioned in CIC Operational Manual 06, page 26, main heading # 14) which is Final Selection Decision.

So I see it positive.

Yes, these must be BG security checks............that's exactly what I got upon CSE back in Feb 2014.

I am planning to issue the DD tomorrow for "Receiver General for Canada". and "Write your name and address on the back of the bank draft." as instructed on the website.

After that shall I mail it to LVO? do I need to make cover letter or something like that?

yes you should mail it to LVO and a cover letter will be good to write.

Don't send the draft to Canada that will go to UK only. All the best.

DIB have connection in canadian Bank and money will be deducted from ur account at the same time when Bank will Issue Draft. Also write ur file no. with pencil not pen on back side of draft and send with attention to ur program assistant.
remember and do not forget to write file no. with pen. also keep one copy of demand draft with u.
