No today's news from LVO so far ...

They sent 6 interviews yesterday in a row, this was more than their competency level, now they will take 3-4 weeks pause again, as they did last time during first pool of interview .

we should stop over-estimating LVO. Even if they are occupied by heavy backlog, it is not just LVO, NDVO also have same issues. but we can see the difference. And calling interviews- which I call it un-necessary & waste of time will just prolong processing time and also will not help eliminating/reducing backlog.

I suggest you give them a call or drop them an email to see what they recommend. A few months back I asked a question about renewing a certificate (you can't do it, you have to reapply) and they were quite quick at responding.

I've asked customer service as loncan has mentioned via email and as he told I got reply in 2 hours saying,

"If you have not known anyone in this country who would qualify, then we can only suggest you have a Notary Public or a solicitor to act as your endorser in their official capacity."

So I've to go to solicitor to act as endorser. I hope they will charge a lot for it.

Thanks for the reply.

That is the exact problem with me as I've only been in UK from 11 months. So there is no person in UK who knows me from last two years. And as they have asked for the person cannot be family member.

Where are you based? In India or UK?
You can get it endorsed by any person serving in the Indian Govt there.No where in the forms it is mentioned that it needs to be endorsed by someone in the UK. i believe you have not read the pdf doc and explains why you are asking such questions. Honestly they don't even bother contacting the endorser. Why am I saying so? because I have endorsed 3 persons and I work for a bank

I sent an e mail to PVO asking them about my application status, thier response was like this:

Your file is currently undergoing background verification. In order to complete this aspect of processing, your application has been transferred to our London office for further processing.

Background verifications may take several months to complete.


Please, does any one have same case,

So many Interview Calls from LVO since yesterday................apparently it looks sticky (but not so actually) but I can guesstimate the following:

1- Unlike NDVO and other VO's, LVO is to entertain many different off-shore applicants. They don't have the complete access for on-site verification as part of standard BG checks - please note in standard BG checks, first part is documentation check, where after re-calculating the points against MI, a visa officer verifies documents in depth (for example upon my CSE to LVO on Dec 04 - that I shared on this forum as well, they replied me that my application was under review that time and it was after 1 month and few days I got MR). In cris-cross NOC's, where information is required as what exactly applicant was doing under that NOC, calling from overseas wouldn't be a comfortable option for LVO, so they scheduled interviews. My guesstimate would be their focus on job duties during the interview, though they'd see other docs as well. So guys focus on your JD's. I wish success for every fellow member who has been called for interview.

2- Why LVO didn't call passport along with MR, like NDVO. Reason is simple, LVO has to entertain majority of overseas applicants and retaining passports wouldn't be a wise option with respect to applicant - the point that Abu Hasan has explained very amicably.

3- Lastly, for those who have gotten MR and waiting for PPR (PPR1 or PPR2), LVO sends application details to CSIS for security BG checks simultaneously with MR (MR goes to applicant and request of security screening goes to CSIS). Standard turn-around time of CSIS is 62 days......so don't expect earlier than 62 days starting from your date of MR. Cases have also been reported where BG security checks took as long as 6 months..........

Lastly..........guys congrats to all who have gotten interview calls ....... as it indicates that files are moving..

oh, is it so? I'm based in UK. I've read the PDF and know that it's not mentioned to by someone in the UK. But all the members who can endorse me here in UK from the the mentioned job title are of UK. Otherwise I've to get it done from India.

At the moment if you are in the UK then it needs to be done by someone here. I am based in England and I got mine endorsed by a person who worked as an Asst Manager in Co-op. Have you not got ant friends in England who can do so?

You can get it done from anyone of these two and it would not be a problem.Make sure you follow the guidelines as how it needs to be endorsed(Signed and dated)

Partially I agree but NDVO is not verifying each case, they have almost finished May, June, July applications and now working on August applications ! How come LVO has to verify each case , if they would , this is going to take years and years ! All applicants with NOC 1112 have been requested for interview . Are they all dubious ? We are NOT even expecting passport request, we unfortunate LVO Applicants are striving for a medical request or atleast e-case status update but nothing is coming out.

In 2 months time, starting from January 2014, NDVO has almost finished May/June/July applications, baring in mind 40 % applicants on this forum belongs to NDVO. How did they verify all applications and even issued passports request and visa in 2 months time to all 3-4 months timelined applicants ?

It is simply LVO is confiscating for their own reasons, they deliberately trying to delay perhaps to gain time to entertain old backlog applications. NDVO surely have same issue to Backlog. Their priority is seen ie to finish FSW 2013 Quickly as per ministerial instructions that processing time will be 1 year. They have got their visas in less than a year, better to say 8 months from time of sending applications, while with LVO, we are anticipating 1 year from PER Date which also seems unlikely the way things are going. How can we be optimistic the way things have started with LVO ?

Few applicants got e-case status update a month ago, and still no news for them either ! This is all irritating. Each visa office has different protocol to process, but isn't logic to expect same processing time for all ?
