thanks abidsunny! We applied October 2011. PER by Jan 2012. In Process in June 2012. Got the Med's request and additional docs last week Aug. 2012.

Dear All,

My family got medical request in first week of June. We did our medical on 17 June 2012, however my wife was pregnant at that time. So in second week of July, we again got a request for chest x-ray for my wife, which we did and sent the report. Report already reached in first week of August. We submitted the new born's passport and fee in first week of August.

And now waiting waiting and waiting!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Is there one who can suggest, how long will it take for me to get a request of PPR?????

hello! i'm a newbie and I just want to ask something. We got our medical request forms with additional docs last week. We were supposed to book an appointment for the medicals but my cousin who lives in canada suggested that maybe it is better to do a premedical check up first before going for the medicals itself just to make sure that everything is good and well and healthy. is this advisable? we will be going to a hospital who does all the urinalysis and blood work but not on the clinic authorized by the cic.

i am not much sure but i think, when first time Canadian government started federal skill worker program that was FSW Or FSW1 and when they made some changes in FSW1, it was called FSW2 and so on....
Correct me if i am wrong, Brothers..

Nope, sorry you are wrong. What you are referring to are the MI (Ministerial Instructions). Depending on the time of your application, you are in MI1, MI2 or MI3 group.

Anyway, there are three categories under the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) class:

Category 1 (FSW 1): For persons in an occupation which corresponds to the list of occupations identified in the Ministerial Instructions and have evidence of one year of continuous full-time (or full-time equivalent) experience in that occupation;

Category 2 (FSW 2): For persons who have arranged employment offer with a Canadian employer;

Category 3 (FSW 3): For students or workers who are legally residing in Canada, and have done so for at least 12 months immediately before submitting their application.
