Hi Kooltest22

i don't know the answer to that question but i did get refused a open permit with all family (LONDON) as i did not have my lmo in place like you. I should have attached a letter stating that LMO was in progress(Alberta). My Lmo still has not arrived which was started end of may i was told. :-X

Thank you!
That's exactly the situation I am talking about.
Can you share the timelines please?
Also, what next? Do you have to wait for LMO and reapply or leave the country?

I have asked my employer when they applied for my LMO and was told that it was applied before the start of June and that they were going to do another LMO just incase the first one didn't work. Answer to what I'm doing next. I have to wait and when I get it I am doing point of entry and my kids are going back to school in Ireland tomorrow so we are going to apply in London for all the family visas which will then allow me so To get organised in Edmonton. That my plan. Fingers crossed.

OK, it has now officially been 10 weeks that I've been waiting for my LMO. Still nothing yet.

hi i just want to ask what's the current processing time of LMO in alberta..
my employer sent the application july 10 and got the file number on the same day
we are now on its 7 weeks and still no news yet!
any info will help :)

Mine took 3 months. My emoloyer filed for LMO March 27.. Got a reply from HRSDC on May 28 stating that my employer should revise the contract regarding the salary and deduction, so they submitted the revised contract on June 2 and finally got the positive LMO July 8!

As expected, my WP has been rejected (most probably because pending LMO).
I am discussing my options with my employer.

Thanks to this forum. It's been of great help.

not submitting a positive LMO will definitely get a refusal but I wonder if it would be helpful to obtain GCMS notes to see if there were any other areas to strengthen.

How long are LMOs taking nowadays? I googled LMO processing times and I'm coming up with significantly different answers. I just got a restaurant job in Canada and the employer said that he's waiting on an LMO. Assuming he just sent in the application this week (or possibly not much earlier than today), how long am I looking to wait?

2 to 3 months

@king III, 2 to 3 months. Well, I've been waiting for two and a half months and there's still nothing. I'm into my 11th week of waiting since I was told that my employer filed for the LMO. This was in mid-June and I see that some people who have been waiting since mid-May haven't received theirs yet. I'm really worried now.

Hi stopDA, my LMO was applied in Saskatchewan and it took 10 weeks to get the results. Have you got yours yet?

Hi Tsupy,
please could you help me by pasting a copy of your LMO on this site .
because my representative did not show me the lmo & send it to CIC.
my lmo is also from sask & is expired as the cic just informed me.
please help me in my case.
thanks in advance.Ajay.

hi ajay93, sorry I can not post my lmo here as this is a public forum and lmo contains confidential information.

as long as the work permit application was submitted within its validity period there shouldn't be a problem. have you consulted the matter with your representative?
