Just like to share good news. My LMO got approved on 22nd July 2013. Below is my timeline:

Applied on: 26th March 2013
Got query: 1st July 2013
Replied Query: 3rd July 2013
Got Positive LMO: 22nd July 2013
NOC Code: 2074 Software Developer
Province applied: Ontario

Once again thanks to this group for providing updates and All the Best to all guys who are waiting for results. I will start following the Work Permit thread now .

Congrats guys - happy to see the IT sector is finally moving. Did anyone ever read anything official about the hold up?

Mine was submitted around May 1st in Ontario so it looks like I still have a bit of a wait in front of me.

Query OR Request to file LMO: 13th Jun'13
Province: ON (London)
Position: Process Improvement Manager (Food Manufacturing)
Case Status: Still Pending...
There is the same response that it is still under process. Anyone, has similar situation?

It's August and there's still nothing. It's been 6 weeks already. I'll update this forum when I actually get the LMO.

It was shut down in the month of June.

ALMO was suspended on April 29th '13 by CIC until further notice. In my case, if the lawyer would have filed it as a LMO on 9th May '13, it would have not taken this long.

Going into my 8th week and still nothing yet. I'll keep this forum updated.

My husband's company screwed up with the LMO application (Ontario) and the case officer gave them a chance to fix it. They did not post the position on the job bank. So finally the job posting went up yesterday and has to stay up for 14 days. After this they need to prove to the case officer that there were no valid applicants.

Does anyone know once the proof is provided how long it will take for the LMO to be issued? Do they mail the LMO or will they email? My husband hasn't been able to leave Canada for almost 2 months now as he is here on implied worker status with no OHIP. If he leaves, he can no longer work. We plan to get the LMO and go to the border to issue the work permit as he's a US citizen.

Our timeline:
LMO applied for: Mar 3, 2013 (Service Canada said they never received)
LMO applied for again: June 3, 2013
Work Permit Extension Applied for: June 20, 2013
Work Permit Expired: June 23, 2013

At last...I just recieved an email from my agent, my LMO is approved!!

NOC Code : 1241
Destination : BC, Canada
LMO FILED : June 28, 2013
POSITIVE LMO : July 25, 2013

Hi, I believe your having a skilled noc. Does it have any implication thats why your lmo was approved quite earlier than they say 4-8 weeks?

My noc code is 1215, my work is shipping supervisor in Calgary. My employer is just about to start the application of my LMO and we are hoping that it would not take time to be approved.

Hi Guys!

My employer (IT) has filed for LMO in June 1st week.
No news yet..
I have also applied for WP extension in June 3rd week.
Is there a possibility that my WP application would be rejected since there is no decision on LMO yet?

i don't know the answer to that question but i did get refused a open permit with all family (LONDON) as i did not have my lmo in place like you. I should have attached a letter stating that LMO was in progress(Alberta). My Lmo still has not arrived which was started end of may i was told. :-X

hi i just want to ask what's the current processing time of LMO in alberta..
my employer sent the application july 10 and got the file number on the same day
we are now on its 7 weeks and still no news yet!
any info will help
