It's been 10 days since I heard of my LMO application, and I am already freaking out. Judging by the wait times you guys are posting, I'd say that the 14-16 week rule is true. This is no fun.

No point freaking out this early in the game, lol. Use your energy to perfect your WP application so it is strong and ready to go as soon as you get the green light (LMO). Search forum for all the reasons for refusal and see what you can do to avoid them. Good luck to all.

Lmo received exactly 7 weeks. Faxed the application May 7th, received a confirmaton the same day. Then positive LMO received June 26.

My employer received a mail from Service Canada to fill up a questionnaire having questions asking if there is any outsourcing activity, since it is an IT application. They want to return this questionnaire in 5 business days through FAX.

Any idea, how long will it take after this? We are already in the 15th week. Last week, the lawyer enquired about the status and Service Canada said it will be processed within 35 business days. They didn't mention exact days. Does this mail mean that my file is under process now?

Has anyone been through the same issue? Any replies will be helpful.

Thanks in advance....

Toronto

@ black star, No, I haven't called back about my LMO status yet. The guy said it usually takes 14 - 16 weeks and it's only been a week since I followed up. I'm going to wait a bit longer before I follow up again. Meanwhile, I just have to get all the stuff for my work permit application ready assuming the LMO gets approved.

@ stopda i would luv to get a job in toronto asap im a certified bartender n im a canadian citizen but not living in canada rite now would luv to get that opportunity ur getting, hook me up g ;D

@black star, I'm afraid that I can't help you with finding a job in Toronto. But you're a Canadian citizen. It should be easy for you to move back to Canada and find a job in your field. Competition is fierce right now though.

Hi im also waiting for my LMO. my papers is being process by an agency. i signed contract and everything last May 24 2013 and they told me my employer was now on process of my LMO, so is that means that on that date they process already? if that so, its now been 6 weeks and no news yet.. hope we could have positive results.. is it now taking longer because of the strike? any advise thanks :) :)

@element1234, Well you still have a lot of time to go. It takes about 14-16 weeks to get an LMO these days is what I've heard from my employer. It hasn't even been 3 weeks yet and I'm freaking out. I'm not too sure about the strike delaying LMOs but I hope that's not the case.

Hi @stopda.. goodnews my lmo came already.. now im just waiting for the agency to inform me to send all the docs. back to me, then will proceeds to visa application. hope will not have a problem :) Good luck to all of us.. just pray and pray :)
