Your employer should receive info, and not you. Check with your employer

Our PR was approved and we received yesterday immigration documents and notification that we are to go to the border and land. We are located in Toronto. My WP expired 31st January. My employer applied for a new LMO January 2nd, but as of yet has received no response from HRSDC that it was approved or not.I submitted a WP extension application on the 30th of January (just before WP expired) without LMO. Therefore was under implied status. 4th April received letter from CIC that WP extension has not been rejected but we need to restore status within 90 days of letter (April 4th).Letter said we need to get a positive LMO and resubmit application as is with restoration fees and new WP will be granted. My question is do I need to make 100% sure I have valid WP in hand before we land or does PR have nothing to do with WP and we can land because PR has been granted and then WP will just fall away.

Can you work once you have passed the 4th April date? Does this mean that you can still work for another 90 days awaiting LMO approval and if you get the approval in 90 days, you can get the WP approved? Can you please suggest? Even I'm under the same situation where my WP got expired in March 1st week and awaiting LMO approval.

Hey guys,
Here's my time line
Application sent : March 12th
Application received : March 14th
File number received : April 15
WP expires : May 14th
Now : waiting

As my WP is gonna expire in a few days and still no news from LMO, Im going to apply for extending my work permit right before the old one expires and I will be passed on implied status , and according to what I've read so far on the forum, I can still work within this period which is 60 days. My question is what will happen after that 60 days and still not getting anything from LMO (my employer called SC today and they said theyr still working on applications received in Jan 2012), I know that my application for work permit will be rejected and I have 90 days to restore my staus, but can I continue to work at that time? me and my employer dont know much to do about that situation. Please any advice?

If your job is in the skilled category why dont you try for accelerated LMO ?

Your employer can withdraw old LMO application and apply A-LMO if complies with all the criterias.

Here's my timeline:
Application sent: March 21st
VO assigned: April 17th
Positive LMO issued: May 10th.

Noc is 2175 (I think, not sure right now), however, job title is Software Developer.
Good luck to everyone

But is it first LMO for your employer as well in last two year?
Rule says employer should have got atleast one positive lmo in last two year.
It is nothing to do with employee. I can be a first lmo for employee

Did I miss something?

My update: as I wrote before, my employer applied for LMO on ~05 Feb 2012. He's just phoned SC - they told him that the file had been assigned to an officer and it would take about a week to process it.
