as per my employer my company has applied for LMO in bulk and it is still not approved. It seems like the approvals are not easy for MNC's now and we are not sure if we will get the LMO ever >:(

Thanks.

Check this link. This explains the LMO and the steps your employer needs to do. http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/eng/workplaceskills/foreign_workers/ei_tfw/lmi_tfw.shtml

I have no idea what restoration means according to the books. Sorry I really cant answer your questions. My documentation was taken care by my company's lawyers. I was asked to produce documents which I did and was also asked to wait. They said it is legal to continue working.

Oh no no, they didn't send my application. The reason being I was keeping CIC informed about LMO application status. So as and when I come to know the LMO status, I call up CIC to inform them and request them to hold off the work permit application. Sorry i didnt get your questions at first.

Hope this helps.

Its strange..I called CIC today but they refused to hold my application...my LMO approval is around the corner with 1 week left in my implied status..do u know if I need to mention anything specific..so that they hold my WP application..lol

Try this, tell the CIC rep that a decision making officer has been assigned to LMO application and it would take a week until they deliver any result. Then you may request them to hold off the application. I guess this worked for me. If they ask you where did you get this update, you can say that your employer told you so.

You want to take this option only when you know that its around 3 and half months since you filed for LMO, otherwise this wont be of any use. This can buy you a week, max! Not more.

It has been more than 3.5 months..since I applied and the application has been expedited...I applied before you..but haven't got anything yet..not even a processing officer assigned...don know wat to do...

My timeline:

Feb. 28th received file # from HRSDC.
Match 12th file WP to CIC
April 18th WP expired
May 11th my LMO file assigned to a decision making officer.
May 12th CIC won't hold my application anymore.

May 28th still waiting for the decision from HRSDC.
They should get back to me within this week.

Restore my status after i get the positive LMO from HRSDC

bad news for me
HRSDC rejected my LMO because my salary isn't high enough.
I am just wondering if I was holding a PGWP, do i still have to follow the restriction about the salary.

The officer told my agent, my salary has to reach 70k a year in order to get a positive LMO.

I am making $20.75 an hour.
