Dear friends,
I want to have some feedback regarding success of LMIA. I am in a very tough situation and my lawyer adviced me to go for LMIA..he is pretty sure that with one year of work experience chances of positive LMIA are high..but I want some fee back as I haven't seen many international students going through this route...

Getting an LMIa is very tough unless extremely reputed organization files on your behalf with all necessary documentation. if your consultant is promising you means he is lying and rob your money. So beware

I m on pgwp and got positive result of lmia. I applied after one year experience. So depends. The possibility is there. You can always try and there is nothing to lose in that

Congrats!!! and thanks Joshi for replying, I'm working as Administrative (office) supervisor for a food processing company, the company is in good standing, have their subsidiary in another province as well...I want to know if your job lies in high demand category? like construction or health for which you received positive LMIA? and what impact it can cause on yr PR application in case of failure? please reply thanks

My husband got a positive LMIA through his company. He had over 2 years experience and the company is a multinational engineering consultancy firm (not sure if that makes a difference). The company submitted the application based on his skills being 'in demand' here and not easily replicated by a Canadian. It took around 5 months for it to come back positive. Good luck!
