Yeah, that's a load of BS from SC
Yeah, i agree.

In my case there is myself and 3 other managers but 2 are more classed as supervisors but still fall under the same NOC.

I'm on 50,500 as is a friend of mine, the other 2 are on 46,500 and 46,000(newbie)

Weird how they wouldnt take into consideration if you got a pay raise for being a good worker? not your fault if you're proving your worth more than said canadian.

Its like you're being punished for bettering yourself but at the risk of losing everything because a canadian is being lazy or you're just better at the job.

I really don't know what is going on. But if CIC automatically knows if an LMIA is refused, then it might not be safe to continue working, right? I am guessing that my husband's lmia will also be refused. Howell.

I hope you get something to mate! I have followed your posts and know it must be rough waiting. I was new to all this only few weeks ago and come across all this about processing times which made me curious about my LMIA and duration and hearing how long it's taking some people to get is crazy! Its hard to work out, some getting them within 2 weeks and they fall shy of the fast processing times SC mention etc. I know mine will take forever as I am outside the country and am required to work in BC. My job involves Heavy Industry Engineering for mining/oil/infrastructure. The Govt. talks alot about having these particular industries struggling to find the right people. I will keep an update though, probably see my next post in FEB 2015!!!. LMIA for BC/NOC2232/Submitted Oct 21st/Applied Outside Country/Job Originally advertised since May/Salary above median wage (High wage)

I hope so! Haven't heard anyone saying anything for a while about receiving one. If anyone hears don't forget to come back and tell us!

Seems a few came through in quick succession and then stopped.

Wouldn't surprise me if they file all the approved ones and waited until they have a certain amount and then give out all the lmias at the same time.

probably saves them on paperwork haha.

Relax, man. Just don't wait it and it'll arrive, try to find some distracting hobby in the mean time. Anyway, whatever happens - happens for the better. Maybe you're short on money now, but you had had nice 2-month-long vacations, right?

So after my 9 month wait.
Service Canada contacted my lawyer today.. Luckily I don't have Richard in the Ontario office (The guy that rejected my first application) Supposedly he is a bit on the hard side. Tough cookie (the words from my lawyer).

My new officer (Marian) had a few questions. She had been looking at my refused LMO and wanted to know why there were so many changes in this application.
She also wanted to know why my original LMO was for 2 years and this one is only for 6 months. My position at the company changed to a more senior management level for a single project that I'm running that will take 6 months. Hence the 6 month LMIA. And even though we are waived from the recruitment requirement (NOC 0512), which was confirmed and granted by a senior SC manager, she still wanted to know if we had attempted recruiting.

This all seems bad to me, especially if they are going to say we should of recruited. But in my case recruiting wouldn't make a difference as I am the only person that knows how to do that specific contract.

But I'm hoping.. SC phoned us on Friday last week and advised that they were giving it to an officer for review ASAP and today we hear from the officer. So things are moving.

Ill give an update as soon as i have more info.

Then i received notice not he 01 September to resubmit the forms for LMIA. Actually BS that they didn't process it before then.

Im seriously worried with all the questions she is asking now.

But - ill just have to hope..

Ontario is the difficult province. But as soon as you are assigned a officer it normally goes pretty quickly.
Just make sure it isn't Richard. He didn't even wait for us to answer his questions before refusing it in January.

And the thing that kills me the most, they can just refuse it based on unemployment percentage. They throw out that excuse all the time and you cant appeal it.

I wish you luck dude, at least your wait is going to be in winter now. I was unemployed all summer =/

I & my employer applied LMIA on 8th Sep from Calgary.
I didn't have File No. yet. Last week my future employer asked how things are going on to
Service Canada on the phone.
