So I got some sort of an update last week. Emailed the HR chick. Mentioned that they had a tough immigration officer who was handling my application. SC said the application would be approved and documetation expected to be received in days?! I don't know what to believe anymore! NOC 2232...

Hey mate - your visa exempt, as aus is a visa exempt country. so yeah just rock up at border with your positive LMIA and they will issue you a permit there. all words from my lawyer mate as i knew nothing of this whole process and thats what she said.

Hey mate - It was the company who hired a lawyer to take care of it. Hit up your employer and see what they can do. Or could try searching for some online who offer the assistance maybe which they can offer a better explanation.

Yeah feel for you bro! If a lawyer is involved, do they find out or the employer find out if the LMIA is positive or negative first?

Yeah when you get told you will have an answer in a week try another 3 weeks! Before Xmas I was told by employer that an answer will be given mid Jan. Which yes, is this week. Got an email this morning saying that they anticipate an answer will now be given by the end of Jan?! >:( I also...

Yeah on my 6th week and LMIA is being processed in BC! So I am no hope for a response before Xmas. Also have a funny feeling (not to ruin anyones day by the way) SC being a Govt. department will probably close down from the 19th dec for 2 weeks holidaying in Cuba! :'(
