Not sure. My employer said that she submitted "new" forms so I can only assume that it's with the new changes, yes.

jaybakerca said:I am crossing my fingers that i have the same luck as a fellow poster from alberta who was a manager in the service industry and got an approved LMIA in 13 days.

LMIA application sent in on mid August (think 13, might be a couple of days off).
Got a request for some additional documentation on Sep 29, faxed the requested files on Oct 1
LMIA approved and faxed to employer on Oct 2.
Went flagpoling at the Carway/Piegan border crossing yesterday to get my work permit. Super rude border officers that were really fishing for a reason to refuse it, was glad I made a very thorough and detailed folder with just about any possible documentation they could've asked for.

joolery said:So once you get your LMIA you can flagpole to get your permit? I thought you had to apply online and wait for it to be processed??
Yuki0830 said:I have a question about it. Right now I am staying in Canada with a visitor visa. Once I get LMIA, may I apply it online or outside Canada?
joolery said:We should wait and see what Jo3r1 says, but it looks like if you are from a visa exempt country you can apply for your permit at the border and get it right away.
