If you have "A". No need to restore. You can send a copy to CIC that you need to restore your status. But if aside from that letter like "E".. so you need to restore!

I think for jeans case she should have called the cic first and ask why she needs a restoration inspite that she still working on her employer and she applied for an owp and pR application last June 2010.

Hope your employer didn't informed the cic that she will cancel your renewal coz they will release you.

I think Jean should write to a letter of explanation about being on implied status and she should say in the letter the she still work for them.and she should define the implied status and try to explain what she understood being on it.The only things she should send together is the proof that she applied for PR and owp last June 2010.I think cic haven't check that you applied for PR and owp.because PR and oWP application is on different office and wp application is on different office.they must checked only the her papers but not her file in cic.JUST a thought.

If she will send her ROE, her wp application will be canceled.and it doesn't make sense to apply for a restoration.the only reason they ask for a restoration is her renewal of wp.

ROE is from your employer.a letter is written on it which corresponds to the reason of leaving.A I think is the employer doesn't need your service anymore.

Write CIC and attach a copy of the receipt paid for your OWP/PR application (assuming you sent both at the same time and paid the corresponding fees). This will prove that you have applied for an OWP before your last WP expired. Since you applied for the OWP before your status expired, you're then under "implied status". The officer who processed your application might not have checked your database record and assumed that you have no OWP application pending.

I'm sorry to katileia, sweetchad, lyne and Monalizy.. but I'm going to contradict your opinion! Implied status is complicated to understand!
Jean, before you apply your OWP & PR you have a valid working permit, then from the time your working permit expired but you already apply your OWP & PR.. you are now on implied status. But there is a condition on that, you should continue to work on same employer stated on your working permit and only work the same as stated on your working permit. That is why you don't have a valid status right now!

Second, you ask if you are rejected by CIC on your OWP & PR application? In my opinion, if you ask on this ground (that you don't have valid status).. my answer is NO! CIC can reject you on some ground, but not on this! But they will hold your application until you have a valid status.

Are saying you are not covered under implied status after you put in your application for OWP / PR and your employer releases you ? How about those who stop working immediately they put in their Applicaton and they get E.I ? They even receive OWP and PR recently.

If The officer who processed my application might not have checked my database record,then the officer who charge the owp should issue my owp already now because I meet everything they ask , right?
