I can really only speak for myself, but I'm using one letter to explain three things I want to provide clarification on to IRCC. You don't need to explain EVERYTHING in your application, just
1) explanations (and proof) for why you weren't able to provide a certain piece of documentation as outlined by IRCC (e.g. if your bank wouldn't give you an official letter per IRCC's guidelines),
2) explanations behind why you answered 'Yes' to any of the statutory questions (if you did)
3) explanations for anything that you are worried IRCC might be confused about and that you want to provide clarification on

For me, I'm uploading an LOE that explains why I chose the NOC Code that I did (my job functions fall under 2 different NOC Codes), why I'm 'missing' a stamp in my uploaded passport pages that might come to light if they review my travel history properly (the Immigration Officer just forgot to stamp my passport and I didn't realize until I returned home), and some clarification on my settlement funds and financial profile. It's 5 pages, not including the attachments that I provided as proof of some of the things I'm telling them. I didn't use a table of contents, but in the first paragraph of the letter, I outline the three issues the letter covers, so they know what to expect in the upcoming pages.

The important thing is to keep it as short as you can (I know 5 page isn't short, but I tried :) ), keep it simple, and ensure your 'wording' is humble and polite (because, really, they don't have to accept our explanations if they don't want to; it's a courtesy)

I am planning to write Letter of Explaination for the below mentioned points. Really appreciate if experts can check whether they should be mentioned in LOE or Not.
1. I was promoted from Associate SE (ASE)to SE in 2011. My previous org. have issued Experience Letter with the latest designation ( SE), but both the jobs have same NOC. Also I have made one entry for ASE and one for SE in EE profile. I dont have the promotion letter but I have offer letter saying "joining as ASE" and salary slips showing ASE and SE which I am planning to upload.
Do I need to provide these details in LOE ?

2. My University name has changed recetly. This has been mentioned in WES letter also. Should i mention it again in LOE ?

3. My university have added my father's name in my name, - "Last name" "first name" "fathers name", which is different from other educational documents. Should I mention that in LOE. Or should i get an affidavit ?

4. My previous org. name has been changed recently. So some of the payslips and offer letter have previous name and some have new name. Also, name on the offer letter is old and relieving letter + Exp. letter has new name. The org. is refusing to issue and letter. But they have a web page saying the name change. What to do ?

5. Do we need to notarized the LOE ?

6. I have traveled out of country on my previous (old) passport which have expired. As i have mentioned that in EE profile, should i upload the old passport also, wont that create a confusion ? Do I need to mention the same in LOE ?

7. My graduation classes completed in June and I joined the job in august. I got my marksheets in August. So i entered August as my education completion date. Though my job start date is June. Will that be an issue, starting job before education completion. Should I explain that in LOE ?

Please help
