Latest CAIPS / GCMS notes forms and how to order?

I applied for Physical file for my friend on october 7th and yesterday I received letter from authorities that they want extension usually its 30 days but they will take 50 more days after 30 days.

so may be around 2 more months delay because they have too many requests for GCMS for physical file.

we also had the same case..they too asked for 50 days extension..for physical files..they have to actually pull out our application package and scan it..so it takes tym..

NEW PAPER FILE LOCATION: ECU-RFV COMPLETE

OLD GROUP NAME: MI1-RFV DOCS PENDING
NEW GROUP NAME: MI1-RFV DOCS PENDING (M1G)

Not sure but by google search ECU means Electronic commerce unit and RFV stands for ready for visa issuance. I guess you are very near of getting visa....good luck..

checking your time line, when did you get passport request ? is it 30-07-2013 or 30-08-2013 ?

is LPN means Legal Practioner Nurse

as my wife was pregnant when she did her medicals

medical status was passed in the gcms notes

Hey Guys.
I am about to apply for the CAIPS / GCMS notes at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563E.pdf
I have few questions to ask. I hope i get some answers i am in canada right now with work permit so i will do it by my self
1. is this application GCMS or CAIPS?
2. the first question on the form ask if i want to select Access to information act or privacy act! what is the difference?
3. Section B says select Academia, BUSSINESS, MEDIA, ORGANIZATION, PUBLIC! which one should i use?
4.is it better to use physical or electronic file?
5. Question 5A it says to chose sponsor or sponsored? and B the info i am requesting to sponsor or sponsored? I am soo confused
Last one i have to pay $5 but by wich method? and if by money order, then to whom it will be paid?

hi dear forum members i have a questions to those who ordered gcms notes and received thier notes.
actually i ordered gcms notes as physical file and today i received a cd from ottawa having 188 pages all these pages are the scaned copies of my forms and documents nothing else.
i want to know that why didn't they send me any work on my file information like when my file transferred to islamabad and security checks and the expected due dates as the other forum members received this kind of information on their notes plz help me thanks

Electronic file is the right option to select. Re-order them and select electronic files..

but your medical request is 1-08-2013 ? didn't passport request and medical come together? I am surprised they ask for passport before medicals?

for NDVO applicants medicals and passport request comes in two different mails in a gap of 2-3 days.......

Received email asking for detail while I lived in Moscow for 4 months And i have a son born in Moscow. I dont have any document other than birth certificate of my son and one doctor report for my son. All other I lost in one bundle of Documents. Pls advise. Nekeol

here is what section 21 means

21. (1) The head of a government institution may refuse to disclose any record requested under this Act that contains
(a) advice or recommendations developed by or for a government institution or a minister of the Crown,
(b) an account of consultations or deliberations in which directors, officers or employees of a government institution, a minister of the Crown or the staff of a minister participate,
(c) positions or plans developed for the purpose of negotiations carried on or to be carried on by or on behalf of the Government of Canada and considerations relating thereto, or
(d) plans relating to the management of personnel or the administration of a government institution that have not yet been put into operation,
if the record came into existence less than twenty years prior to the request.


it is more or less similar to section S(15) I guess.

Regarding your son write exactly what you have that you only have a birth certificate and doctor report is available and you have lost the rest of documents. If possible also provide an affidavit with this information written on it.

AS FOR AS MY UNDERSTANDINGS

ECU = ECONOMIC CLASS UNIT OR SOME TIME CALLED, CRU = COST RECOVERY UNIT (IT IS A UNIT IN CHC WHICH DEALS RPRF RECOVERY MATTERS)
RFV = REFER FOR VERIFICATION

WHICH MEANS THAT IN YOUR OLD GCMS THE PROCESS ABOUT YOUR RPRF WERE PENDING
AND NOW IN YOUR NEW GCMS THE PROCESS IS COMPLETED AFTER VERIFCATION,
SO AFTER THIS PROCESS YOUR VERY NEAR TO RECEIVE PPR LETTER.
