LANDING IN CANADA ??? -All You Need To Know.

Hi All
I want to know, my final destination is Calgary but airline has stopover at Montreal airport, will I have to complete landing formalities at Montreal or Calgary.

Am planing to rent room in hotel for few days , then i will start looking for one or two bed room appartment
Based on that, i have few quiries:
1- i dont have adress in mississagua, what i should tell officer about my adress to recieve pr card,?
2- can i rent appartment or condo from UAE or i have to wait until landing is prefferable?
3- can i find resonable rate for long term appartment lease like 1000-1300 cd per month?

If you have any friends in area, give their address. Once you have your temp-permanent address in place, you can update on the system since the PR card will take 70+days (current estimate)

There are a number of places advertised on this forum for rental, but I would highly recommend seeing it in person before signing up. You may want to take up something for a week initially, and then finalise a long term option.

1- i dont have adress in mississagua, what i should tell officer about my adress to recieve pr card,? You can tell them you don't have an address yet. They will tell you how to update your address later (within 180 days). There is an online utility to change the address later as well.
2- can i rent appartment or condo from UAE or i have to wait until landing is prefferable? Don't even think about this. Lot's of people here see you as fresh meat and are waiting to take advantage
3- can i find resonable rate for long term appartment lease like 1000-1300 cd per month? Depends on the number of bedrooms, size and location. However your budget is sufficient for a decent 2 bedroom apartment in Mississauga/Brampton.

This is a good option, but would not recommend this if you require more than 20 days. PR card processing times vary across the year and does not always have a delay of more then a month.

To import goods duty- and tax-free, Settlers must have owned, possessed and used the goods prior to their arrival in Canada and FORMER RESIDENTS must have owned, possessed and used the goods for at least six months before returning to resume residence.

For settlers moving in as PR for the first time there is NO 6 months ownership
Requirement.
YOU MUST OWN, POSSESSED & USED BEFORE YOU MOVE IN
