Don't settle Toronto if you want to save delivery cost.. Instead get a connecting flight and settle in Calgary or anywhere in Alberta, and you and family will be covered with Albertan healthcare immediately.

Dear Qorax and all,

What if I couldn't accumulate 730 days inside Canada in a 5 years period?

Thanks
I think you would lose your status as a PR.

We completed our landing procedures through Toronto Pearson Int'l airport on 31 May 2013. When requested by the immigration officer for an address to send our PR cards, I mistakenly gave her wrong unit number (unit 1114 instead of 114). The problem I just recently found out about this error when I checked my e-cas, so I immediately updated the address in the system but I don't know whether our cards were already mailed to the wrong address or not yet because it has been more than 5 weeks now.The time processing indicated in the CIC website is 67 days. However, I believe this is the maximum number of days required to receive the cards.The main issue is that I am already back to Saudi Arabia as I spent four weeks only in toronto. I searched for an email or phone to explain this mistake to an cic agent to help me out, but I couldn't find anything except for local CIC call center number.Anyone who knows how to contact CIC or encountered similar situation please let me know.Thank you

This is by far the most useful thread on this forum... thanks Qorax.

In my case, my husband is the primary applicant and he wants to enter Canada first and then after a few weeks I shall follow. Is that possible? What problems will/can I face when I enter Canada without primary applicant accompanying me?

Dear friends

Can anyone who have landed recently help? where to take it in Delhi ?

Or we can take just take photo and write in Black Ink.

As per the CIC link,photos specs for PR card application which needs to be submitted during landing is:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5445EB.asp

Note:# New: measure between 25 mm and 30 mm (1” and 1 1/5”) from chin to crown (top of hair);
# have a 35 mm x 45 mm (1 3/8″ x 1 3/4″) finished size)
# be on photographic paper that has a backing which accepts and retains the date. Photos without this backing are not acceptable;
# be on prints that are well-fixed and washed to prevent discolouration;
# bear the date the photo was taken (not the date the photo was printed) directly on the back of one print (stick-on labels are not acceptable).

I thought we need to carry the same photos which we submitted during PPR,whose specs were:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/photospecs.asp

Note:The frame size must be at least 35 mm x 45 mm (1 3/8″ x 1 3/4″).The size of the head, from chin to crown, must be between 31 mm (1 1/4″) and 36 mm (1 7/16″).

Would appreciate very much if somebody can give advise on this: I have applied as FSW with AEO bound for Nova Scotia and my application has already been approved. I plan to land in Calgary and settle there permanently. Will that be an issue with IO upon landing in Calgary? Need you your thoughts please.
