Some say not recommended!
Johnny31 said:Landing at a remote location has its pluses and minuses of course - for example:
The positive:
You don't need to wait in line for a long time
The negative:
Some officers might not be familiar with the procedure, therefore causing you to wait while they're trying to figure it out.

1. Except at Stewart, if you look at the services for CBSA, there is NO immigration services: http://cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/do-rb/services/imm-eng.html
PMM said:2. You should probably contact CBSA before you make the drive.
Mercurytag said:Just an update: I called Immigration Canada and (after a lot of fluffing around) she finally confirmed that Stewart cannot issue Visas. The closest one up here is the Yukon/Alaska border crossing of Beaver Creek.... just a short little 23 hour drive away from Terrace lol. AND being a smaller place they're unlikely to be familiar with the process as well.
I'm opting to fly to the States.
