No experience shared on this!! Seems not used for landing!!Mercurytag said:!! Also in Terrace, also need to flagpole, also wondering about Stewart as an option! Anything you managed to find out about it?
Landing at a remote location has its pluses and minuses of course - for example:rks0101 said:No experience shared on this!! Seems not used for landing!!
Some say not recommended!
1. Except at Stewart, if you look at the services for CBSA, there is NO immigration services: http://cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/do-rb/services/imm-eng.htmlJohnny31 said:Landing at a remote location has its pluses and minuses of course - for example:
The positive:
You don't need to wait in line for a long time
The negative:
Some officers might not be familiar with the procedure, therefore causing you to wait while they're trying to figure it out.
Of course - the OP has already mentioned "Seems not used for landing"PMM said:Hi

I've landed alreadyPMM said:2. You should probably contact CBSA before you make the drive.
1, Beaver Creek as the major road to Alaska is well versed in landings. And anyone going to flagpole here, should note the US Customs is 20 miles away,Mercurytag said:Just an update: I called Immigration Canada and (after a lot of fluffing around) she finally confirmed that Stewart cannot issue Visas. The closest one up here is the Yukon/Alaska border crossing of Beaver Creek.... just a short little 23 hour drive away from Terrace lol. AND being a smaller place they're unlikely to be familiar with the process as well.
I'm opting to fly to the States.
Given the size, doubt it. But if you try, take a quick stop to get Hyderized.eqrkim said:Bump to see if anyone landed @ Stewart-Hyder boarder..
