Hey everyone I did my landing at the Woodstock, New Brunswick border yesterday. Pretty much just exactly the same experience I had read from others.
Very short interview where she asked me if I had any other dependents and if I had any criminal convictions since my application was filed, the IO had circled "no" and had me initial by both and then sign the form. For some odd reason they didn't have my Canadian address on file, but she just took it down and also asked to see my birth certificate. Then I was sent back out to fill out my forms for the items I was bringing and one for those to follow. As others have said they didn't go through the items or anything like that. Gave me copies of all the paperwork and sent me on my way a total of 55 minutes after we drove up to the border.
The only disappointing thing was that no one said "Welcome to Canada"...I was really looking forward to hearing that. lol Overall it was a pleasant and low-stress experience. Thanks again to this forum and all the helpful souls that frequent it. I think without you all I might still be staring at those forms and banging my head against the desk. lol
