Oloye,
Thanks for sharing with us.The journey of a thousand mile, they say, begin with a step
Please do not hesitate to feed us with useful information

Thanks and God Bless

Glad to hear from you oloye. We appreciate the time spared to put this together and the best part of it is that things are gradually taking shape for you. As an accountant i also very much appreciate the business analysis info. A friend in canada once mentioned it to me and i think its worth giving it a try even while still in naija.

A lot of tuition centers in Abuja now offers the prince 2 and PMP certifications trainings and exam and i guess it wont be a bad idea to start acquiring these skills now.

This is the whole essence of this thread as we get to hear first hand info from our brothers. I trust your family is doing good? we pray God to grant you favor in that land.

My regards

Oloye,

Is it ok with landlords for a family of four to stay in a room?
2) what background must you have here in niger to be a business analyst
3) what other lucrative profession are there?

All the best

Igbehinadara: Thanks so much the girls are doing great. How is your husband and the boys too? My hi to them all.

MOT:1. You dont really need strong background to be an analyst just be good in reading and know how to play with figures. You can study more or even on line but their certification is very important. 2.Yes, a family of four can stay in a room. You must do all you can to save money the moment you land here or else your savings may go off within a month or two forget the fact that you are coming with over 20k dollars. Money goes here faster that naija. 3. There are so many lucrative professions. Nursing is there but you cannot come with your degree from naija and start practising. also you can go to school of nursing and enter as a second degree nursing and you will get Bsc Registered Nursing but you must take the professional exams after your course which is conducted and regulated by the Nursing board. Second degree nursing means that you have a degree from different field (Any field at all so far you are a genuine graduate that can provide your transcr.) This course, all things being equal, will take between 2.5 to 3 years. Also you can take social work as a profession, you can upgrade in a college and even become a banker, and you can go to adult upgrading school to change to anothe profession. They abound. Just like their logo here Canada is "Yours To Discover"

The Jackson: Almost forgot you are over there, i thought you are here and have forgotten me. How far with your application? Men! keep hitting me and i will always respond.

Right: Hope satisfied with my responses to your PM if not let me know.

great explanation there oloye thanks. Trust madam and the kids are doing fine? Accra has slowed down almost completely and we are hopeful that it will pick up in the early days of 2011 we are however in the meantime trying our hands on few things that will help settle well in canada.

As a chartered accountant back here am very much interested in the business analyst thing and would be doing a lot of research on it in the coming days.

Please give my regards to boljet and the kids and may the favor of the lord remain with you now and always IJN amen

My Pple,
We are now really in it. the snow has been falling. It started in norther Ontario and other northern provincies sometime upper week but it was our turn in Toronto, Brampton and Mississauga (and other GTA) last Saturday.

So if you are landing within the next 4to5 months, get well kitted and ready.

The Lord is our strength.

Hi Oloye,
I have read from your post about studies and also you talked about online studies, i have applied and was thinking that, while waiting i can be doing an online course, but i was afraid employers do not accept online studies.

Please advice me , i am waiting patiently.

Thanks and waiting.
