Good afternoon everybody,

I am getting prepared for my interview on May 25. What date do you think would be the best time to go, I was planning on going on the May 23 and go get a wash off at Hellshire before the interview. Another thing how many luggages does Air Jamaica allow and if I am bringing my laptop, would i need to pay customs.

Hey Chelley!!!! How was the trip??

Iambless.. I am not sure about the date but I think that the 23 is ok.. as per the luggage you are allowed 2 luggages of 50lbs and 1 laptop bag or carry on of 22 lbs and a handbag... dont over do it with the handbag or else they wont let you carry it...

for the laptop they wont make you pay duties but if you carrying a new one just take off all the plastic on it... if its not new you're good...

trip was great... VERY productive and informative meetings... took the train rather than flying, which was sort of nice... you don't need to justify traveling business class and there are quite a few perks making it a comfy ride although they have wifi onboard and sort of expect you to work thru your trip... which gets interesting after a few of those great caesars they make

I'm going to agree with chelley...let's not feed the troll. When you starve attention-needy people of what they crave, they tend to move on.

Iambless, at least 48 hours prior to your interview sounds good. Get in, unpack, see your friends and family, get nice and relaxed and calm. Hubby brought his laptop in a carry case and two bags on Air Jamaica. He was not required to pay duties on the laptop, as it was for his personal use, and he is taking it back with him. Make sure you know how you are traveling to the embassy, have all your arrangements in place, including a plan B. You never know, I always say.

We just got back from touring Devon House, which I have never done before. This trip has represented a lot of "firsts" for me, and I am glad hubby is the one I got to share them with.

Chelley, a little time away is good, it reminds us of what we love about being with them in the first place!

I'm with you chelley - seriously, it's so sad the levels some people sink to isn't it? hilarious that people can't read properly. I merely asked a question, which is hardly harrassment. 3 other people after me asked questions too but they weren't mentioned...that's just so sad

anyway chelley, I need to take the train sometime!!! sounds like fun...although right now I can't do the alcohol but I'm sure I could eat something right? glad you had a good trip, nice to have you back

She's adorable!!! such a little peanut, Daddy looks so proud!! the pics made me smile and feel all warm inside....It got me dreaming of the day we get to meet our little bundle of joy. Hi forum family! hope everyone has a wonderful easter weekend. I dont expect any news or updates until well into next week, hubby says it is "Holy Thursday" today (?) and everything is closed....

However, I personally am trying not to obsess too much and I am trying to just have a little faith that things will go as they may. I dont have any control over immigration matters so I am really trying very hard to live my life and get out more. I was seriously depressed since returning from Jamaica in Feb, but it hit me that I may be waiting for the long haul and it does my heart and my body no good by wallowing. I must keep in mind that others may be without homes, food and comfort. Some send their loved ones off to war and may not see them for months if not years at a time. At least I am safe, he is safe, we have what we need and we must be grateful. We will be united eventually, I must have more patience.

Congrats to those that have recieved amazing news and reuinited with those they love. Happy Easter.

Morning everyone! Getting hubby ready to go back to Canada. He is outside enjoying the morning, and I am going to start tidying up in a bit. He ended up deciding he didn't want to be alone on our last full day together this trip, so I never did get to shop for muffin makings, but I will have them on hand when he returns.

Hey Randysgirl! Control in this process is one thing we definitely do not have, except over how we deal with it. Get out, get busy, get ready for your hubby to join you, do everything you won't have a chance to do as often once he joins you.

Today is Holy Thursday, so most businesses and schools will close half-day, but not all. Tomorrow is a church day for many folks. I expect you are right about nothing much happening until next week as far as KG is concerned though, so I trust everyone has plans to enjoy the time off.
