Ensure that his application includes a job letter from his commanding officer or whoever is in charge of his division/platoon/whatever. It should state that he is visiting for x period, when he is expected back at work, his salary and years of service. If he has off-base housing, get a letter from his landlord showing his period of tenancy and the amount of time left on his current lease. If he owns his home, show proof of the mortgage, or a copy of the title. Get the bank statement showing his earnings and savings, and ensure you send him an invitation letter stating he has a place to stay with you, etc. Essentially you need to show that even though he is visiting you, he is not intending to stay at this time, and he has ties and obligations in Jamaica necessitating his return at a specific time. Don't question whether the evidence you are sending is too much, always question whether it is enough. I read on here of one person who provided an embassy with 400 pages worth of evidence when he applied for his wife to get a TRV, she had it in her hand the next week. So don't give them any room to ask questions, ask yourself the questions first, then document the answer and present it to them, that's the way to go.

well i wasnt planning on sending him an invite as I dont want them to think he wont go back as he has to he has everything else that u have listed but he lives with parents so no rent in his name, his cousin would have been the 1 who would be sending him the invite as I am in school so no real income but i do start working May already got a job

Thanks again for the warm welcome. I already am starting to feel like i am apart of your family. Thanks for the replies.To answer Chelly's question, the child is actually my husband's ex-girlfriend's child. He has been raising the child since she was a baby, and had started the adoption process over a year ago. He went to court in early April re:adoption case, and met with a judge but was told that there are a few other 'loose ends' that needs to be tied up. So he is still waiting to meet with the judge and the case worker again.
All your advice has been helpful, and have definitely given me some stuff to think about. I am now thinking of holding off, as most of you guys suggested. But i will ask my husband to call up the adoption agency and ask then what's going on.Will keep posted!

Chukie, enjoy the Sunday dinner with hubby!

Hubby is cooking as we speak, but no rice and peas today, we are having a friend over for dinner who is vegetarian so he is doing a fish dinner instead. We are arguing over getting a rice cooker for me, LOL. I don't want one, he thinks it's a great invention. He is also horrified because last night he went out with the guys, and someone tried to give him chicken foot soup, which he hates, LOL. Wait...now he wants to use some different pot for the rice instead of the dutchy ??? ...lawd, mi gawn guh help him. Lata!

Its me and I have had some personal challenges with my relationship with the Hubby....I am extremely exhausted and have not been very active these past few weeks since I got home from Jamaica.

Question:

When people get MEDICALS received on their ECAS does it say that in the portion where it says : Application for Prermanent resident then underneath it will say one of the following:

applications received
in process
etc. etc.

Then when you click on one of the above it has all your personal Data for example:


We are processing (name here). We have received (name here) of applicant since March 17, 2011. Medicals received. That is what mine says....Can someone please clarify? please and thanks.

Hey Chukie... I was thinking for the reunion to have it the weekend after the long weekend in august... What does everyone this of that?? Also I was thinking of going to Rainforest Cafe in the Yorkdale Mall with hubby on monday, june 20 since I decided to stay in Toronto for a few days.. maybe whoever is wanting to meet up we can do supper there... I know some members will have to work since its a monday so we can maybe decide to go at a later time like example maybe around 7pm.... Anyways just an idea that Im throwing out there... (the ones that are interested let me know and I can maybe arrange to have a reservation)

Hey lonely_wife! The kitchen is fine, dinner went well, and then hubby wandered off while my friend and I watched a movie and came back with the most amazing bottle of wine and we all had a glass and toasted to good friends and good times. We just got back from walking her home, she lives just up the street and around the corner from us, so we made sure she got in OK and then walked back holding hands, so romantic.

Hang in there, Can-Indy-Jam. Waiting is hard, and nothing is quite like the wait for immigration. As one of our sponsored members called it, immigrationwaititis is a serious disease! We know it can infect a lot of things, this disease, but the cure is love and faith in each other. As far as the change goes in your eCAS, it is difficult with KGN to predict exactly what it means. I am keeping the faith for you too, that it means something good is in the near future.
