charlied.... you were so pumped for a visit march 1.... awwww i wish pp canada would hurry the hell up and get your hubby his pp asap :D

Yes, I was :(

All in all, I don't really mind that he's not here already, we would be having a terrible visit with me working these long hours and coming home just to drop in the bed. When he's here I want to go home to Negril for the weekend, and I have to work this weekend again anyways.

At this rate, we will find out about his sponsorship approval before he comes, LOL. I'm going to take that as a silver lining in our cloud.

Butterfly10: I laughed out loud at your husbands surprise! That is sooo cute and sounds like something my husband would do!! Very cute and i'm very happy for you. Right now you are giving me so much hope. You got through in a relatively short time ::)... considering Kingston. I am curious if you had everything included in your package (paid the PR fee, medical..) so there were no delays or if you ran into any set backs along the way. It sounds like they opened your package and it was smoothe sailing from there. Either way i am just so happy for you and can't wait to hear about your reunion very shortly!!!

i so happy for you guys, congrats on all the updates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dwam im so jealous, i want my hubby too :'( :'( :'( :'(

Sorry Butterfly10 I thought it was you who had the step son? Anyway Congratulations again. I live in Beautiful British Columbia, well thats what it says on our license plates LOL.....

Who has the step son and hubby coming soon to Canada? Kimore was that you or Charlie D?

Anyway, I am always hopeful...Does anyone know if it is faster to pay the PR fee upfront or does it not really matter? please advise....

Lol, Can-Indy-Jam, no I am being sponsored, not the other way around. And it's just me, the step-children are my hubby's girls.

It is supposed to be faster if you pay the fees upfront, according to what CIC says on their website. It eliminates one step in the processing of the applicant when the fees are paid upfront, as the embassy does not have to request that the sponsor pay it, then wait for CPC-M to receive it and advise them that it was paid.

Whether it makes a difference with KG...well... ???

butterfly - what a wonderful surprise!! made me smile and tear up reading your post. congrats again!!! :D :D :D

charlie - aww boo on the delay!!! :( maybe his pp will come in less than 10 days....I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!! I believe there's a reason for everything so maybe it was meant to be delayed so he can receive the sponsorship approval first. :D

can indy jam - I'm doing good thanks for asking! hubby has settled in nicely, he was working up to Wed last week and they laid him off saying no more work :( so we sent out a ton of resumes on the weekend, he walked over to the beer store and a grocery store near my house and gave them resumes, we are hoping he gets something soon. He's studying the drivers handbook so he can get his G1 which is the beginners licence here in Ontario. We should be going for that next week sometime. The pregnancy is getting better (knock on wood) I've been feeling better and have been able to tolerate eating a little more than usual the last few days so I'm hoping to God this will continue on. Last week was one of the worst weeks I have had so far (or so I think). How is everything with you?

kimore - good luck on your apartment/house hunting! just knowing hubby has the visa must make the waiting easier now....it'll go by fast I'm sure while you are both preparing for his landing. I did my spring cleaning at Christmas lol

Thanks Nae, yes the wait is definitely much more calmer now. Just knowing that hubby has the visa is so comforting.
It's great to know that your pregnancy is getting smoother.

Morning Everyone,

Kc if you come on line pls check your PM for me...

Congrats to all who got fabulous news!!! Baby or otherwise :) in a better frame of mind today...thanks Irving for the sympathy yesterday! keepin' the faith that we will all be reunited soon!!! Go Kingston go!!

Wow! What a confused night last night that I had!! Well at least I remembered the story sorry everyone I was having a "Brain Fart" LOL

Nae Nae, that is great that your hubby was working for a little bit at least he has some experience. As for the pregnancy I really hope its smooth sailing from here. When I was prego nearly 10 years ago, I wasnt sick but lots of nausia.

CharlieD10: Wow, ok I get it now you are the person being sponsored! Great I have that one all striaght now. What part of Jamaica do you live and if you dont mind sharing how did you meet your hubby?

Kimore: Nice to have a hubby who is loyal to his work it shows his work ethics and it is always comforting knowing that you have a VISA in your pocket. Congratulations once again.

BrownSuga: I Knew someone had a step son and hubby coming soon! I apologize for my confusion. Can you please tell me how long it has taken you with this process..I know you have it on your status but Im not sure what month as I prefer using month names rather than numbers. My brain can only handle so much these days.

On another Note: I am emotionaly, physically, mentally, and spiritual (im blessed) although all the rest Im drained. I have been hoping for my husband to come home soon. I was excited because meds received was up then its off now its up then its off now. I think im on an emotional rollercoaster and trying to keep my sanity is tough. Work is another story, as I dont really show my emotions I am still my chipper self but man oh man I come home and have this emotional numb feeling knowing that there are unorganized people handling my paperwork. I am hoping they come through soon...

Cmon Kingston Whos NEXT.

LOL Can-Indy-Jam. Yes, I am being sponsored by my husband. I live in Kingston, in fact, just a short walk away from our favourite place, CHC-Kingston. :P

My husband and I met online, LOL. I was minding my own business in a chat room for which I was an administrator, when he showed up after being told to check it out by a friend of his. He came in, and the rest is history :)

Try not to stress the meds thing. I hope all this is resolved soon, and we can start getting reliable updates from KG. Miracles do happen!

Butterfly: I notice Kingston didnt request any original documents from you, did you send originals when you first sent in your application?

Charlie... i met my hubby online too... it turned out we know a lot of the same people and had seen each other in passing... he tried to convince me to go to his cousin's party rather than a the one i was planning on going to that easter, and the rest is history :) gotta love the net! :)

aba.... glad it's a better day for you! :) sometimes

jahBee... welcome

to everyone that's asking about what makes a file go faster, i think it's important not to compare the timelines, it'll drive you crazy (i can imagine, easier said than done)... doing things like paying RPRF up front and sending originals will give them less reasons to delay you, but it's not necessarily the answer to the fast track... there are lots of factors to consider and who knows what makes kgn tick? they operate outside the rules sometimes so the general guidelines are just that and are far from gospel... try to keep things in perspective, however long the file takes, once the it's done, it's done and the result is the possibility to be with the one you love until the end of your days!!!! .. so if it takes 4 months or if it takes 24 months, the end result is worth it, right? i know... easy to say, so much harder to live :( but hang in there... your day will come!!!!!

as for kingston, we know they're off today, but they don't get the rest of the week off too, do they? i was amazed to find out that whenever there was a mid-week holiday the kids got the rest of the week off school too... what sort of deal is that? lol... slackness i say!

hopefully kgn will be well rested and have their dialing fingers ready tomorrow morning bright and early!!!! i remember when we got the call it was like 8:30 am, enough time for us to hop in the car and head over (and get japanese by soverign on the way :) ), so they do like to start pretty early!
