Thanks guys! so I have sent all photocopies except originals for criminal records check and medical reciept. I was told that originals for birth certificate and marriage license are not necessary, I am thinking of sending the original docs for those asap- anything else original that I should have sent?

do you ever get those originals back?? not sure what to do, my imm guy says it is not required, but man o man would it burn me to have a delay when I have those orig docs here in my hand!

Randysgirl...I sent the photcopies because I spoke with the CIC office in Mississauga and they told me photocopies were good. Also in the application it clearly stated that you can send photocopies. I too only sent the original copies of the medical and police report. My hubby has original copies of the marriage license and his birth certificate and if they request it he can drop them off.

yes ladyposh I've been having a ball!!!! lol still am pinching myself to make sure I'm not dreaming!

I have been reading and wanted to post a few times but hubby was bugging me to get off the computer so I obliged. Now that I'm back to work, I can post as much as I want lol

oh God....I was reading everyone's posts about family and friends and how frustrating the process is. I too went through some of that so I can totally relate!!! I didn't have trouble with my family but I was always frustrated when people were asking me when he was coming, why is it taking so long, why can't he visit, why can't they just process it faster....as if I know the reason why??? I don't know why they never listened to me when I said over 100 million times that it could be anywhere from 6 months to 2 years and when I know what's going on, they will know. They just don't seem to understand that it's upsetting and frustrating enough without them continually asking and getting mad at the process....it makes you feel worse.

soanxious - OMG girl, you are truly a saint!!! I can't believe they are being such jerks about your file!! it's really unfair....I hope when you send in your passports they call you to pick them up with the Visa in it!!! You have been waiting far too long!!! good luck today and I'm sending positive vibes your way

randysgirl - I sent originals in and my husband got them all back including all the photos when he picked up his PP. The same should happen to everyone else. Who knows with KG, with some people photocopies were fine and with others they requested originals....luck of the draw maybe???

reema - I think you said you got your AOR....congrats!!! that's an awesome feeling!!!

Hey Nae No pinches needed, he's home!!!

I am doing my last set of pics today, Nae, and adding some more evidence of contact between us (another phone bill came) and I am getting some letters of support from my family. Everything is organised, except for those last letters, and when I get paid on Friday, I book FedEx to come on Monday, hubby gets the package on Tuesday and adds his papers, and then off we go! Whew!!

Randy we sent photocopies of everything and were asked to bring original Marriage and birth certs with the passport. We got everything back in an envelope with the PP.

Re: the Original docs, it may not be a big difference to your case processing time, theres really no way to find out till they request them or not, but I would suggest if you already know your B number go right ahead and drop them off.
Especially if you have surplus Copies, as they more often than not request these. it is true the photocopies are good enough to get past Missisauga to get the Sponsorship approved, However 9 out of ten times before kgn issues the visa they will ask for Originals. I think we had someone on here sent color copies and never got asked for Originals.

But like Canuck, most other people who completed the process, had to submit Originals at some point.
we also sent photocopies and got Sponsorship approved with just those, but later I received a letter requesting Originals. I've dropped them off, and waiting again for either interview or pp call.

That said though, you have to go the route you feel more comfortable,
equally you could wait and see if they are requested.
this is just what we observed on here so far.
