Congrats Randy'sgirl, I know just how you felt... i had no clue if i was going to be accepted to being a sponsor even though i seemed to have qualified no problems. Such a relief! Yay!

Nae, 2 more days.. woot woot

good stuff Charlie... almost ready to send off that application.. its a part time job preparing for immigration man, took me 2 months from beginning to end to gather, complete, organize, everything... i applied 2 months after I got married

Just poppin in to see if any more updates... like LW i love hearing about the new updates - fingers crossed for some news today!

congrats Randys girl!! I remember getting the sponorship approval letter...it was definitely exciting. It was one more leg of the race completed. It felt good to me and I'm sure it's just as exciting for you!! Awesome news!!

yep lonely wife and kc....only 2 more days and I'm not ready!!! lol since I've been sick, I have done nothing but mostly lay around in bed. I took friday afternoon and monday off work due to being sick. I've managed to only do the laundry, get groceries, and get my nails done. I still have to straighten up the house - I did all the cleaning before I left for JA thank God so there isn't much to do. That will all have to be done tonight and tomorrow IF I have the energy. Does anyone have any elves or fairies they'd like to loan me?? ;D Oh well, hubby no doubt won't notice and we can organize the closet as he unpacks lol

charlie - congrats to you too, you're almost there!!! It'll be a BIG weight lifted from your shoulders once it's all sent. Can't wait for you to join the waiting line ;D

Nae, only 2 sleeps left. From a mans perpective he won't care about closet space, clean windows, polished floors etc, he'll spend the first week or so marvelling at the differences and looking to help you out where possible so save some things for him to do. It will be intersting to see how he reacts to seeing his breath for the first time, watching people pick up dog sh-t, first ride on an escalator etc. Let us know

Poor guy

lol canuck you are sooooooo right!! hahahaha the floors are already polished, and the windows were cleaned before I left...really the only thing to be done is clean the bathroom, vacuum the upstairs and change the bedding. He can sort out the closets when he gets here and a dresser is already vacant for him. I did all that before leaving on vacation just in case. Oh and I have a really bad habit of piling all my junk mail etc on my dining room table....does anybody else do that? have a place where you put all your junk cause you don't know what else to do with it? lol

OMG I better warn him there are escalators at the airport lol I had to go down one to get to customs last time....he might have to do the same. I have already informed him about the dog doo doo and how we look after our pets. I have given him a lot of information on the differences in how our society behaves ahead of time so he's not so shocked. Oh and I asked my aunt to dress up her dog in a sweater and booties when hubby first comes over just for fun....can't wait to see the look on his face when he sees that lol

Tiana Marie is doing great, thanks for asking... she is getting bigger and bigger by the hour and already causing trouble --- If she is going to be anything like me then I am in big trouble.. I really hope she is like her father, quiet and sweet as pie Baby shower is coming up in a fortnight and then we move in a month to a 2 bedroom so lots of things coming up... we have hired a new person at work so I start training her at the end of the month too... everything is just falling into place for Tiana Banana!!

hows life with wifey? You must feel whole now... complete circle!!

Living the dream right now. only one little squabble after being together for a month so life is good. Had a dinner party on the weekend and played dominoes JA style. Took about 3 minutes to realize how different countries play the same game. In CA partners sit across from each other, JA way is to sit beside your partner and cheat like hell. needless to say the Mrs and I kicked some serious butt.
She ventured out yesterday to take the 20 min walk into town to get her nails done, no busses or cabs in our little community. -24 with a slight breeze, she was cuddled up under the blankets when I got home, she said only her hands were cold, tried to get her to wear snowmobile gloves but weren't fashionable enough so she wore a pair of gloves with a second pair of leather ones over them, think she'll wear the snowmobile ones on her next walk. Took 3 hairdressers in 3 different cities to finally find one that can do her hair, 1st 2 her perm come out looking like a frizzy ball with eyes on it, hilarious, the squabble was I couldn't stop laughing. Love life only suffered for a day though. She still loving it though so gotta say our families are tough

Does anyone knows how long it takes to get a reply after you send in the requested documents. January 11 was 60 days from the requested date. Thanks alot.

I didn't include my daughter to accompany me on the application, when I have gotten the PR and I want to sponsor her does she has to do over her police and medicals. She is attending university in England and is 19 years old and will be 20 in July. Thanks again.

lol canuck.... so life is great then.... love the joke about dominos ja style . Hubby had to learn the hard way as well about not wearing gloves or dressing stylish and realizing how style has to go out the window when its -25 out.. they live they learn. one thing hubby hates is layoring his clothes... he just wants to wear his marina and short pants and slippers and or his clarks of course.

iambless, there is no approx time from when KNG looks at your file... i guess theordically they are supposed to check after 60 days but they didnt contact me for 4 months after I sent in my documents - things have changed since 2009 most definetly and I also got asked for documents 3 months after kng received my application so fairly quick, but I am sure they will be following up with you shortly regarding whatever step should be next.

Regarding your daughter, she will most definetly have to do over her medicals when you put in an application to sponsor her. I know it seems repetative but a medical is only valid for 1 year and the medical must be valid for a visa to be issued. Good Luck with your file.

Aww Canuck that was good. lol Good to see all is good with your bundle of joy KC. All is life as usuall over on our side. I wonna go to Jamaica so bad this yr just want to relax and do nothing. Where is a nice cheaper place to stay in JA? All inclusive and near things. Nae not to much longer now. I was so glad hubby had lived here for 3yrs prior to coming so there was no surprises for him.

glo - if you want to stay in Mobay, the Royal Decameron Montego Beach is always cheap, it's right on the hip strip, 5 mins from the airport, it's clean and nice rooms, the food is good too.

oh gosh, only 2 more sleeps and ecas updated his file today to say "Decision Made" .... sooooooooooo excited! can't wait to see him walk through at the airport so I can breath a sigh of relief that the wait is definitely OVER!!!

Thanks Nae I was just having a looksy to see what the deals are etc. I was looking at Rooms in Negril. But either way, there or MoBay we are the same distance to home I do believe. Time is ticking .... TICK TOCK TICK TOCK ..lol do you have any days off work besides the weekend. Surely you can't leave the poor guy alone to fend for himself when he gets here.. . I remember taking pics of the board showing the flights arriving ohh what a dork...lol.

how is everyone doing??? I hope well. Nae, CONGRATS....I still remember when I was in Ja and when I came back with Hubby it was so unreal, I was like I cannot believe this Praise God. I tell you God is good all the time!!!!
