I am in the process right now and it is giving me a drop down menu to choose from on which type of file I would like. The options are as follows:

Immigration file: temp resident
Immigration file: perm resident
Citizenship file
Sponsorship file
Application for PR

Three of these options sound applicable so I am lost lol

damn i looked at the forms but not at that section lol I would think immigration file: perm resident, sponsorship file would be our files i think, it's not citizenship i know that for sure lol i'm glad your asking these questions now lol i'm sure someone who already ordered will be able to guide soon

John Mccallum had a press conference in Brampton this morning. He said they are planning on using the same system that they did with the Syrian Refugees for Family Class Sponsorship. Hopefully we start seeing some of these changes soon.

For anyone ordering notes, here's the link :)

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp

The link for the consent form is on that page as well, just follow the steps and everything is pretty straight forward. Make sure you request the Access to Information notes, not the privacy ones. It'll cost $5 and you pay at the end. And select the notes for your spouses permanent residences file, not the sponsorship file otherwise they'll only send info about the sponsors portion!

This youtube video is a great help as well https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_E_dq_uLVo

Thank you so much for the help and clarification on this

For section B and C of the consent form, who's information goes where?

Thanks everyone!!! I'm over the moon happy right now :D

And for the consent form, section A is filled out and signed by the principal applicant, for section B just write N/A (this more applies if someone is sponsoring their parents for example, if the dad is the principal applicant then the mom would be the spouse and she would fill out and sign section B), and then section C is filled out with the sponsor's info. You can write N/A in section D as well :)

I hope so, they've proven they can definitely work on applications faster, the anxiety and time spent away from love ones really take a toll, i only wished they cared about that.

I agree with you. They got 25,000 Syrians processed and gave them all immediate PR status in less than 4-5 months. They can definitely do a lot better

I am completing the request now and all seems very easy after confirming those few things with MrsMaclaughlin
