Shortyp what do my husband have to send in to file taxes for me? Like Western union receipts etc?

No, he just has to declare the amount to the government of canada by writing a letter stating how much you earned in Jamaica.
He should add you to his taxes as well, with the same amount on the taxes as he wrote on the letter. Most people have already done the 2014 taxes so he can send the letter anytime. When he does his 2015 taxes, he can just tell them he is married, tell them your income using the sin number as 000-000-000 (thats what i did)

Thank u Shortyp.

When ever you got married he will have to declare your income pass and present the Canadian government is very strick about that cause part of the process with immigration is not owing any money to them I file my husband on my taxes every year plus write a letter declaring his income

Hey Guys,

Been out of internet touch for a couple weeks. Now that the Liberals have won and trudeau made a bit of promises for family class and other classes. I would have loved to hope that if he comes near to any of the hopeful promises that it will be an advantage to us all....I dunno; I know there can be empty promises, but it would sure be nice if i some were fufilled? What are your thoughts guys?

Stuntxd9, I hope the same. Timeline is a bit much when we are waiting eagerly to be with our spouse and family and get back on track with our lifes as expeditiously as we can. Trudeau did mention cutting out the 2 year thing, is that time line waiting for processing or is it the Condition 51 thing that he was referring to?

Can someone tells me how long do police record valid for when you submit it to the embassy......I hear it valid for 6 months but want some conformation on it.

There is an expiration date on the Police Certificates from Jamaica. I think maybe it is valid up to that point. Mine gave 1 year from the date of issue. I am not sure how it works for the ones from RCMP.

I believe it's for the condition 51...I'm not too sure how I feel about that though. For me personally I wouldn't be worried coz I'm in my marriage to stay so I wudnt stress if I have to wait 2 yrs..that's nothing if u in it for a lifetime. It's just for those husbands/wives who sponsor "spouses" who disappears after reaching Canada

Exactly. I dont care about condition 51 as I plan a lifetime of living together with my hubby. I would be ever so happy for them to cut down processing times for everyone drastically.

I believe that the police clearance is valid for a year. Not sure about rcmp either. You can always email them to ask when it expires so you know ahead of time if you need a new one. My hubby did his after SA so we dont have a prob with them asking for a new one because its still valid until April 2016.
The Liberals say they want to get rid of Condition 51, not reduce waiting time. Which is too bad because any legit couple wont worry about condition 51 as they should be living together anyway.

He did mention almost doubling the budget to fast track family class sponsorship so i believe its all across the board even though his emphasis is on parents and grandparents. We just have to hope most of if not all of his mandate comes to fruition. Some information can be found at liberal.ca
