Congrats!! If you don't mind, did your husband get a phone call, email or letter by mail for his PPR?
My husband received his passport request in the mail, and they emailed me a copy of it but weeks later . My husbands friend had a random phone interview and they also requested his passport in the mail ..

Hi ladies, just a quick question. For the past few months my husband has been in and out of the hospital bc he has been having seizures. It happened last week at work and he had to stay overnight at sunny brook hospital. This has been so hard for me bc I'm not there with him and he is there by himself. I need to be there to take care of him and make sure he taking care of himself. Thank God he goes back to work tomorrow but is there anything we can do so that I could be there sooner so I can be with him?
I know this is difficult Hun and when this stuff is going on there is nothing you need more than your loved ones with you to help . I'm not sure if anything can be done but personally I would enail Kingston to let them know what's going on . My husbands mom passed away this year and when she passed away it was hard on my husband and I emailed immigration to express the importance of my husband being here with me during this time. We did receive PPR about 3 months after I sent that email but according to others timelines and passport requests we received ours when we should have and it wasn't any faster . For my husband and I it took Aprox 10 months to receive his passport back from the date I sent in our application to Mississauga to the date he landed in Canada ... Even if your husband is able to get a letter from the doctor or some proof of his condition it may be beneficial to send to immigration .. Now this is just my opinion and I'm not a lawyer or a immigration officer so I can't tell you for sure .. You could also possibly call the call centre in Mississauga and ask them there opinion..
Good luck

@shorty I'm so so happy for you ... I told you when you were still in ja and about to leave that your husband would get the request as soon as you got back home , basically the way it went .... Yay yay yay are you going to go back down to fly up with him ? I wanted to but me and my husband decided it would of been a waste of money for me to fly there for a day and come back , cause at the time westjet was quoting $670 just for his one way ticket .. But we're going to Jamaica in march together .... So happy... And I knew as you got home you would get that PPR... God is good ...

And all you other ladies just hold on cause Kingston is moving and more PPR will be out soon ...: and as for interviews don't sweat it to much ....
My husbands friend had a phone interview and answered wrong his wife's daughters age , he said she didn't have a criminal record when she did , and she (sponsor) works as a exotic dancer in Canada so if they got through all of you will do just fine .....

OH AND SOMETHING I DIDNT MENTION BUT IT MAY HE BENEFICAL FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT SUMMITED THERE APPLICATIONS YET OR THOSE CALLED FOR INTERVIEWS :: it is very beneficial for the sponsor and there spouse to claim they are married with cra for tax purposes . The first year I did not do this and the lawyer/family friend who gave me advice told me in deed you should be claiming married and having your spouse declared . My accountant just filled his sin number in with 000 000 000 and I've been doing that now since 2013, the first year 2012 we did not file that way . Now I have helped my husband out financially along the way which was my choice and i was able to claim him on my income tax . Doing this will definately help convince immigration that your marriage is genuine as the majority of married couples in Canada claim there taxes this way also ...

And I also had my husbands last name added to mine for my drivers licence and health card as all I needed was a copy of our marriage certificate to do this, I did not do the full legal name change as that process is a lot more difficult. For those that do not have a lot of supporting documents to prove your marriage is true genuine and ongoing this may be useful info for you

Goodluck all
And God bless

I have had to do this with my hubby since we got married in 2010. Since we have children together, they would not ussue me my child tax without claiming his income as well. He wasnt working in Canada but because we are married its still a marital/household income. I also had to write a letter stating the amount he makes but required no other proof.
We dont have passport back yet but they received it on Wed Oct 14th, so we will keep tracking to see when it'll be sent back

We did not file right away. We didnt want to and I was living there most of the time, etc so no need to. But we started an application awhile ago, but we messed it up, didnt do things proper etc. so nothing happened from it. So we tried again, got ourselves together along with our paperwork and found this forum and did things properly in Dec 2014.

Hey Shorty,

If you'd like to update my line on the spreadsheet whenever you get a chance, our status says in process and they started processing it April 30th :) I'm sponsoring my husband and we'll be living in Ontario! :D

Hopefully we'll hear some more good news in the next few weeks and reunite our families before Christmas!!

Ok! Great Ive updated that. Im praying hard for everyone to get some movement asap!

To those that got PPR recently, if passports have been sent to the VO can you let me know what date so I can update the spreadsheet.
Or if anyone needs an update to their line please let me know!
