Hi ladies, just a quick question. For the past few months my husband has been in and out of the hospital bc he has been having seizures. It happened last week at work and he had to stay overnight at sunny brook hospital. This has been so hard for me bc I'm not there with him and he is there by himself. I need to be there to take care of him and make sure he taking care of himself. Thank God he goes back to work tomorrow but is there anything we can do so that I could be there sooner so I can be with him?
I know this is difficult Hun and when this stuff is going on there is nothing you need more than your loved ones with you to help . I'm not sure if anything can be done but personally I would enail Kingston to let them know what's going on . My husbands mom passed away this year and when she passed away it was hard on my husband and I emailed immigration to express the importance of my husband being here with me during this time. We did receive PPR about 3 months after I sent that email but according to others timelines and passport requests we received ours when we should have and it wasn't any faster . For my husband and I it took Aprox 10 months to receive his passport back from the date I sent in our application to Mississauga to the date he landed in Canada ... Even if your husband is able to get a letter from the doctor or some proof of his condition it may be beneficial to send to immigration .. Now this is just my opinion and I'm not a lawyer or a immigration officer so I can't tell you for sure .. You could also possibly call the call centre in Mississauga and ask them there opinion..
Good luck
@shorty I'm so so happy for you ... I told you when you were still in ja and about to leave that your husband would get the request as soon as you got back home , basically the way it went .... Yay yay yay are you going to go back down to fly up with him ? I wanted to but me and my husband decided it would of been a waste of money for me to fly there for a day and come back , cause at the time westjet was quoting $670 just for his one way ticket .. But we're going to Jamaica in march together .... So happy... And I knew as you got home you would get that PPR... God is good ...
And all you other ladies just hold on cause Kingston is moving and more PPR will be out soon ...: and as for interviews don't sweat it to much ....
My husbands friend had a phone interview and answered wrong his wife's daughters age , he said she didn't have a criminal record when she did , and she (sponsor) works as a exotic dancer in Canada so if they got through all of you will do just fine .....
