Does anyone here who was living in Kingston and has sent their passport to POS can you plz advice or recommend which courier service is best in terms of tracking and turn around time etc....your help will be greatly appreciated!

My hubz, used Fedex, he went to the bank to get a waybill to pay for the prepaid envelope that POS sends back the PP in.

It roughly cost $8000.00 for both to send and return.

He first went to Fedex and told him his situation and then they told him what he has to do.

Hope this helps.

Welcome to the JAMFAM Winterwonderland and congratulations on PPR! Our file was in KGN but was sent to POS to assist the KGN office with their work overload. We sent the passport and other requested documents by FedEx. We opened up an account with a credit card number (if you do not have one maybe your spouse can do this for you) so that they could include a return waybill and give us a tracking number. We did not hear from POS until one day BAM (5 weeks) the return tracking number went live. Good luck!

AHHHHHHH COngrats on your hubbies landing.....sorry i wasn't here for the post party......hows it going....i see you have come up for breath already so thats a good sign. :)

Average wait time for Kingston is about 2 weeks. I don't know why POS is taking longer. Just keep watching ecas for decision made and then you know the pp will be back in a couple days

Question I am a newbie with my package do I write letter saying kids are not coming they are on our application but not coming with my husband right away

Welcome to the forum newbie ldw. :) If at any point in the future you want to be able to sponsor your step-children and they are currently under the age of 19, you must include them in your application as "non-accompanying" dependents. They must also have a medical and copies of other documents that are noted in the application package. It is critical to include them now (even though they may not be coming with your husband when he lands, that is why CIC uses the term "non-accompanying") because if they are not documented with his application, you will never be able to sponsor them in the future. Even if they never want to come, you at least want to ensure that you and your husband (and hopefully their mother) have left that choice and opportunity open for them. So you do not need a separate letter to do this, you can just describe this in the contents of your application where they give room for other notes. Hope this helps. Blessings.

Congratulations and welcome to the forum :). You will find lots of support and encouragement here on the Kingston JA thread. It can be a frustrating process though so hang on for the ride. Blessings.
