Ok thanks.. and does anyone know then if "in process" goes faster if you've already paid fees for landing already? Or does that have anything to do with it?

My consultant told us to submit everything at once because every time they request something it puts you back a potential 90 days for every request. Three months adds up.

Congrats on the ECAS change to "In Process" !!! What an amazing feeling it must be to see something different when you log on!

There has been lots of good discussion on here about the process and why some get through faster than others. I'm not really sure why anyone is surprised when someone gets through faster (or sees movement before someone else). A quick look at the spreadsheet will confirm that nothing is fair in this process and applications have never EVER been handled in order of receipt.

Am I a little jealous that my application has not gone in process yet? Hell yeah. Am I surprised? Hell no. There are soooo many variables and we will never really know what goes on behind the scenes.

As others have said it really is a lottery. And the problem is, that nothing is consistent. Some have contacted their MPs and actually been subjected to an even longer wait as the VO thought they were trying to fast track their application. It's all a gamble... What works for some will backfire horribly for others.

Seeing some 2014 applicants go "in process" is a really positive sign as it shows that maybe, just maybe, the overall processing times are going to speed up.

Just knowing that someone from 2014 is seeing movement makes me really REALLY happy and gives me hope that my lottery number might be up next! Anything is possible and I prefer to have hope rather than spend my time wondering why her and not me??

Let's go Kingston....... Make some more wishes come true before the end of this week. More "in process" and more PPRs please !!!

And I know some people are upset that mine was opened before them but it's not like I had anything to do with that. Like a lot of life, it's unfair.

Hey people... so I'm confused. (again haha) mine just went into process Nov 7 2014 but I applied for him beginning of September 2013.. and they are doing some that have only sent this year? Wow.. ya that is a little unfair. That does definitely suck.
Also, if you have already paid the permanent resident fee already in beginning does that speed up processing? Is that what they meant by "speeding up" when they said if you pay it all together it will go faster? Or am I just confused again lol

I don't think when you pay all of the fee upfront it makes things go faster because I didn't. When the MP looked into my case in Kingston and got an answer saying they'd be opening my case within the next few days, I got the letter in the mail to pay the RPRF a few days later. The letter was dated the same day the Kingston office emailed my MP back (November 6).

I was just looking at it in disbelief. I'm thankful for the spreadsheet the JamFam has going here... I'd probably lose my mind if I had to rely solely on CIC's approximate wait time. Lawddd put a hand on our apps.

Congrats to everyone hearing news. Im on here 24/7 cause it keeps my sanity.. right now I'm just waiting for them to finish all 2013 then i can believe dem really a work pon 2014 apps.. mi notice that the newbies a get bash cause dem a get process before the oldies and mi a wonder if they were on this forum from when dem start the app would they still get bash.
at the end of the day this process is every person for demself. Mi nuh care weh nobody seh of course you would a want your papers guh through. So all we have to do a still give supporting words no matter what.. there is many favoritism in this group but mi love it same way.. bless up everybody mi just had to add mi 2 cents.. my husband seh 16 months timeline him a give Kingston, him right the more time you give dem,mentally it easier fi yuh.. stay strong peeps
