I got our notes back yesterday and they stated that they had emailed us with confirmation alerting us to the file transfer to POS. I have checked all our emails and don't have it. I have also checked that the email addresses are correct. This makes me nervous because I wouldn't know if another email requesting anything would be received.

How did you know that your file is in POS before receiving your notes?

it may have gone into the junk mail. I checked that daily until I actually saw an email from Kingston in our inbox so I knew it worked.

it should say on the notes what email it went to...for all of our email conversations it has that

I had called cic in the summer and they had told me the transfer had happened.

Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum however my husbands application is pretty much complete. KIN requested his passport on the 3rd of Oct and he sent it off on the 6th. I realized last Sunday the 19th his status changed to Decision made! We just haven't heard anything from KIN or DHL. I was just wondering how long this can take? I would just like to book his ticket and finalize his arrival preparations...

Welcome to the JamFam Jamgirl7521...better late than never right. If his passport was sent and ECAS went to Decision Made then his passport has been stamped with the Visa and it should be on its way back to him already. Have you tried tracking DHL? Congrats on the end of your journey.

Can you tell us when you applied and when you got sponsorship approval? Did they request anythign else besides his passport on Oct 3rd (i.e. new police cert, meds, etc.)?

Our file went into DM on the 20th and we are still waiting for DHL as well. Pick ups are normally Wednesdays so the PP should be going out today. Keep checking DHL if you have a tracking number. It doesn't always update the pick up/drop off at the right times. You should receive the passport back this week

OK well... I'm not really sure what to think right now I'm very confused. So on October 8th 2014 we got a reply from Kingston stating they were waiting on external report to further process our file. My mp recently confirmed they were waiting on the RCMP check (which was requested June 10th from Kingston). So we figured they were just taking there time doing the report. After my mp contacted the RCMP she was told the report will be done when its done. This was yesterday. Well today I received an email back from the RCMP stating Good morning;

The processing of your husband`s application was completed on September 08, 2014. The results were mailed to the address provided.

I also received my gcsm notes on Oct 18th generated date of September 22nd. With no updates at all and no mention of receiving the report and criminality still as "in progress".

So can anyone help me make any sense of this. Kingston says they haven't received it and RCMP says it was done and mailed 6 weeks ago...

If RCMP mailed the results to KGN it could have taken up to a month to even reach them and lord only knows how long until someone actually opens the mail and finds the right file to put it in. Don't worry at least you know your file is being worked on and hopefully you will hear something very soon.

Yes its true and thank you very much Twoheartsonelove. I applied for him on December 07th 2012. I received sponsorship approval on the 2nd of January 2013. The application was forwarded to Kingston at that point. Our application went to in process the 21st of February 2014. They mailed out documents request for his medical and police record sometime in march however we didn't receive it. My husband did new new medical on May 14th. So after few months of waiting and emailing KIN like crazy we finally got the request September 9th for our original marriage cert, his original birth cert and the right to Permanent resident fee as well as a new police cert. Everything was sent off on the 29th of September. So basically everything was very chaotic and all over the place because we didn't receive the document requests at the time they were sent out. Also a new SChedule A was requested on the 3rd of October with his PP.

Ok ill do that, he will be flying from Kingston. We havent purchased the ticket yet. Just wanted to see the visa first. Well hopefully our husbands will be picking up theyre PP together

My hubby is also flying from Kingston and we are also waiting to book until we see that Visa Maybe they will be at DHL together getting their shiny Visas!!!!

Also - there have been pick ups on Thursdays as well.

OH ok, so make them send the email again because this not good if you do not receive any email from them. Continue look at ECAS everyday and if you see In Process that mean, they send a communication for sure.

Curious thing I just noticed in my notes. Our due date was changed since I ordered them back in May. It used to say that it was October 23 now it says Oct 28. Think it's because of the file transfer to POS, giving themselves an extra 5 days to do reviews?
