Good morning all!

Well here is an update from us...

We were awaiting the updated police checks from Canada(which took three friggin weeks-was not impressed) and for jamaica which took a week and a half. All is done now and handed in along with the updated medical and PASSPORT as of the 21st! ;D

Now we are praying for a quick return so we can be on our way and get back to Canada and get our lives started properly with a huge weight lifted!!!

What is the fastest a passport is returned? Cannot wait for our happy ending and for the rest of everyone on this forum! Patience runs few and far between we know!!!!

YAY....glad you got everything done and handed in. Some passports have been returned a week after handing them in other have waited longer. All depends on how fast they get to it. Once you see decision made on ECAS you know it will be sent out anyday

Hello and welcome!!!

The request can come at anytime after you've submitted what they have requested. I am not sure how FSW works but I am pretty sure it is the same as family class for Passpoprt Request.

So happy seeing most people with favorable responses from Kingston. For those who are still waiting hang in there! Don't lose hope! Kingston really is working on applications!

Sammy the request came exactly one week after they received my landing fees and medical. I thought they would request our passports but instead they requested a dhl or fedex prepaid self addressed envelope to send our confirmation of pr document. Someone mentioned that because I am U.S. citizen & hubby has valid trv we won't need a PR visa hence why they didn't request the passports. Not sure if that's how it works. But overall happy we heard something from them!

What is the police check from Canada? When they requested it? Does everyone has to do it?

Mel...her hubby is in Canada and needed to get one done for here as well. They needed to travel back to JA as he needed to get a PC done there and also they needed to see that he had a return stamp on his passport. So.....they all travelled as a family.

Alright so MP called back saying that our file is in Kingston, she confirmed that the new PC and CSQ has been received. She said the meds are expired but to wait to redo it. She said they are presently analysing the eligibility between me and my husband and the security check is in progress. She said Kingston has received my file on Fev 3 2014. I dont understand since I can see Jan 13 2014 in my notes. She said theres no reason about why my file has not been forwarded to PoS. Well so this is it, I dont really know what to think about it but at least I know a likkle bit more.

That is wonderful to hear ITEN!! Hopefully he gets it back very quickly so that you can all come back home to Canada in time for the cold to begin ohhh and the wonderful holiday season

Sammystorm19. Can you give us a breakdown of what order the process goes in? If you also have a link to the Operations manual that the VO's follow, that would be awesome info for us.
