Let's go Kingston!! Lot's of people still waiting for PPR and passports to be returned!

1 week until I am in Jamaica and then we head home on June 6!! Still can't believe that this is real and that he will be flying home with me!!

Question : For those of you that had your Passports returned... How did they they inform you it was ready to be picked up ( call, e- mail, E-CAS update... ) 8)

Welcome to all the newbies and congrats to those who received good news. I hope that Kingston will send back the passports quikly with the shiny visa in it to everyone waiting after PPR.

I got depressing news, Kingston answered to my last email saying that the status of my hubby's file didn't changed a tiny bit yet. They only extented his medical... We are waiting, still hoping for the best soon, knowing that they normaly don't do much during summer time.

I will be spending a week of vacation with him in an hotel for our 2nd wedding anniversary, we won't see each other until he gets his visa afterward because I don't have much paid vacations left.

I'm sending good vibes to everyone.

Nice hearing from you it's been awhile... In any case I think that you have gotten some good news, re: medical extension .... Enjoy your vacation 8)... Your PPR is around the corner

Normally u would have sent in a prepaid envelop with ur passport for it to be returned to u so u will have to check with ur courier service.

You will see Decision Made on your Ecas and you will know that the passport is ready to be sent out anyday!!

QUESTION: Lets say one gets the call or email for PPR, what are the next steps? Specifics I mean....I know that you have to get a prepaid return envelope, but what if you don't trust DHL or the delivery system in JA, or the people who work in a small village post office?

Could you drop off passport and pick up passport directly at KGN? How / who would you call, ect?

Any info or tips would be great. Just asking and trying to plan ahead... just in case.

You can only drop it off on certain days and yes you can pick up there as well...however I know that sometimes they still ask for a DHL envelope. If they request PPR by email you can always reply back to that and request for it to be picked up at the High Commisson.

Our ECAS changed to Decision Made. It was a few days after that my hubby received a call from the courier (he sent it via Tara) that the package was ready to be picked up.

Thank you CanJam, we'll do for sure it's been a while we didn't enjoy all inclusive hotel 8)

We were happy to know that they requested an extension for the medical, but I thought that they would start working on the app. after a year you know... First set of notes showed nothing started yet but I was hoping that they just didn't updated the efile.

My hubby redo his PC, so that when he receive a call we will avoid additional delay. We are just growing impatient, as we all know this journey is not always easy. But we are still there stronger than ever, after all this we'll definately be though lol! I know our time will come, hopefully soon :

That's great news that they extended the meds. They will only ask for an extension if everything else is done on the file and valid meds is all you need!!!

They requested our to be extended April 7th. I ordered our notes last month and should be getting them today

Btw...Happy Friday everyone. It's a holiday down in JA today

I don't think going to the embassy is being encouraged anymore.

All of the communication hubby received said, 'do not come to the Canadian High Commission unless by appointment'; and information was given for the VAC/or courier if it was original documents and courier only if it was a passport.

So it appears unless it is a special circumstance and you were told to come and drop it off or I guess if you receive a call for PPR you could ask them.

Kingston. however is not consisent and when your time comes to each his own.

cafelatte02 I believe PPR is coming soon for you girl, just keep the faith, I remember getting that same response from Kingston 4 months before getting additional docs request then PPR. Yours maybe sooner

Thanks for the update Carm, we need more of those encouragement because I totally believe our journey really starts when our hubby or wife arrives in Canada.

It's labor Day in JA; so am not sure if KGN is observing this holiday but i surely hope they are laboring over our files
