Nothing new for me but still holding on that my joy is around the corner.

I will be hardly on guys because of extra work related responsibilities and my son was hospitalized, released yesterday give God Thanks.

Continue to keep the faith fam; I will do my best to check the forum when I can and if I hear good news I will sure to let you know.

Im good actually... work work work as usual... getting those hours done before i go down for 3 weeks... im excited... spending my second anniversary with hubby and out little one... times flies.. two years already... but everyday is a blessing and we are thankful.. hope you hubby get back his pp so you both can come back home

We have been fortunate enough to have spent both our Anniversaries together. We spent our 2nd at Great Huts, it was quite the experience...we had a blast!

Glad you will be getting some much needed time off and 3 glorious weeks of family time together.

Tell me about it...they need to hurry up and finish whatever it is they are doing so I can go get my man...lol!

For everyone waiting over a year, how are you coping... I have been feeling Very Low Lately... This wait is starting to get to me, 14 months this week ( Total Process)... Trying to stay positive

For those that have filed an appeal... How is that going?

Some days are worse then others my friend but just keep the faith and know there is a light at the end of the tunnel! I am proof of that one! It will all work out for you soon!

hello hello forum friends! I apologize i didn't update everyone about the interview yet! Its been a crazy ride.
Soooooo, the interview went well. he had a female interviewer who asked all the usual questions about why we didn't have a ceremony or honeymoon blah blah blah hahaha. Anyway, they told him he needs a new police clearance after the interview (expired just 3 weeks before) and to bring his passport along with the police clearance (which took another week) to DHL. So he just sent the police clearance and passport to Kingston office yesterday, received same day. so i guess all we are waiting for is for them to send it back to the DHL office for him to pick it up! very money hungry, because if they had of told us he needed a new police clearance when they requested everything else BEFORE the interview then we could have got that and waited the 3 weeks to pay just $10, but instead they waited until the interview to let him know it was needed again and it HAD to be rushed so he had to pay $80 and then $40 to send the passport and clearance to kingston office, in the same city...
but it is what it is, and soon he will be here! yaaay.

Yahhhhhhh awesome news......your hubby will soon be home!

Got a couple of question for some of our people who were in the run for the long haul.

1) How often did you send in additional support of your relationship ie. telephone bills, boarding passes and such? And is it necessary.

2) Once the visa is issued how long is it good for before they come? Meaning, is there an expiry date they must land by?

my hubbys visa was good until Aug 2015.....which is when his Police Certificate would have expired again.

Personal update- 4 weeks left in pregnancy... Might have to be induced in the next 2 weeks!!

General question- what do you think about the motto: "no news is good news"?????

LOL not once from May 2013 until Feb 2014 did Kingston ever answer one of my emails ( i sent about 5) so I am not sure about no news is good news if it is right or not!

Hello everyone. A quick update. Mr brown landed safe and sound at 8:29 pm last night. Kids and I greeted him about an hour later armed with homemade signs, flags and balloons. He said immigration part took about half an hour. He refused the winter jacket I brought bc he wanted to "feel the cold". It was +2! We stopped quickly for some food and headed home. He stopped to take a pic with some snow. Everyone fell asleep easily. But now I lay here and I can't believe he is next to me.

I think it may take a week or so to process this all.

To those of you feeling beaten down and lonely I say. Hold the faith. There IS a light at the end of the tunnel. No one else truly understands the heartache of such long and painful separation. But your time will come.

I know we have months of adjustment together. But I feel like after the year we've just been through we can get through anything. Am looking forwArd to everything including grocery shopping and cleaning together. My children are over the moon.

Now... Kingston please keep up this momentum. And don't forget those early 2013 ppl it appears u have skipped over.
