Good Morning everyone!! Hope it is a lovely day!

@ Mrs. Parkin: never took a LOA, however did take extended vacation time, stretched long/ holiday periods. :P ( without pay) ... Totally worth it!

Discussion topic: Since being in this Long Distance relationship, have you travelled anywhere else besides JA?

... I have a friend that is temporarily living in SanDiego, who would like for me and another close friend to come visit... I am actually considering this ' girls' getaway (5 days) b4 hubby get's here... 8) because I feel that the process should soon begin to wind down... And worst case scenario if Hubby isn't here by summer, I would go visit him then

I've sorta put other vacation visits on hold....with the exception of work trips, all others trips have been to Jamaica. Hubby and I decided once he comes and we're settled we're going to explore! I'm okay with that :)

You too LDH!!!! I feel it's going to be a little more quiet on here today... :(

Has anyone considered moving to JA to live with their spouse even if the VISA gets approved?

We've discussed this....although we won't be moving to JA right away we're considering relocating in years to come.

I've always wanted to live in Jamaica..the warmth + family does it for me...and I've seen that once you have money you're pretty much set.

So I had to share this that Miracles really do happen.

My friend who grew up here with and also room mated with in Victoria going to school. Her and her husband have been together 5 years and when they go engaged he was diagnose with cancer and was given a year. After almost 3 years and to the point where his cancer stopped growing and he was cured. The past few months it came back 100 times worst they didn't think he would make it to Christmas. Yesterday he died in her arms and she held him saying her good byes. A hour later he came back to life in her arms. Doctors cant explain it.

Since I saw this post last night on her status I am in shock. I believe there really is a god and a good god. She is a strong women and I don't know if I could do what she as done for him.

I thought I would share because god knows what is best for us.

Hubby and I are also on hold for any other types of trips (unless there is a death or fam emergency and I need to go home - PEI). It can get hard because I would love to go on a trip with just me and my mom somewhere different, but I can't justify going to another place when that money could have been put towards seeing my husband.

Once he gets here though, the gloves are off! lol Even he is the one telling me that our first trip somewhere better not be back to Jamaica! I laugh at him as I am sure he will be homesick and that actually WILL be our first trip away! :P :P :P

Jut felt like sharing a pregnancy photo!! Only 3.5 months to go! Hubby better get here soon! Lol

chickie72,

My husband was not deported, but recieved an exclusion order for 1 year for overstay. I dont know if it would be best to still pay for a ARC in good faith, with the sponsorship application? By the grace of God if we fall into the 20% sponsorship applicants that are processed within a couple of months and it just so happens he is granted the permanent resident card before June 30, will I need to wait an additonal 3 months for the ARC to be processed?

For anyone that can provide an answer to my good friends dilema that would be well appreciated:

He got married in 2008 to a girl in JA. Sponsorship application was completed in 2011. In those 3 years she ended up having 2 kids which we found out are not his! Divorce was finalized in 2013, does he need to notify immigration canada of the divorce to ensure the application is stopped?

I believe he can just contact the CIC and withdraw his application.

I'm in agreement with CW89. If his wife has not yet been issued a VISA, then he can just contact CIC and request an application withdraw.
