GCMS notes (Global Case Management System) are notes that are made on your file. The Sponsor can order them online or by mail for $5 and the Applicant has to sign a consent form. They take 30 calendar days (sometimes longer) to be sent to the Sponsor once they are ordered.

A lot of people order the GCMS notes if they have been in the process (around a year) and haven't heard anything from Kingston. It is also a good idea to order them if you are scheduled for an interview.

I have two questions, has anyone who had applied in 2013 heard of any progress and #2 has anyone who applied in May 2013 hear any progress regarding there application

I am May. Haven't heard a thing. Only have application received. Have not ordered notes yet. I plan to send in additional info and son's medical in Feb. I think I'll order notes a month or so later to see if anything's been done. And, hubby's medical expires in Feb. Frustrating ! But hey, that's life with immigration ... Right ?

I applied in April 2013 and I ordered my notes in November and there has been no change. Nothing has started.

I applied in March 2013, nothing yet started on my file... I think from what we've seen, its not likely that any work will be done on your file before the one year mark... my strategy is to revisit this process after April when my file has been in Kingston for a year.

I don't understand why Kingston has to ask for ppr if they are going to take months to be returned, this is sad. COG,Chickie,Nev,Carm big ups with the patience.
