OK understanding the process more now. Still, I have so much to learn lol. Thank you Charlie, and thank you for swooping in and helping me out!

Just talked to the soon to be hubby....and he's let me know that everyone down there is getting ready for the storm :(

They were doing reno's to the backyard for the wedding and laid concrete yesterday....I am guessing that won't be dry anytime soon.

11 days till I am down there and 18 days still the wedding. Starting to get nervous and excited. Looking forward to this new chapter in my life

Dont worry everything will work out in time. Just relax and think about your future with the man of your dreams. All the processes will fall into place.

Yes, happy tears! I thought that "selection decision" was only the decision that we are or are not genuine. Very pleased to hear this!

Jamgirl, this sounds VERY positive!!!!!

Hi,
I just found this site tonight and I am so glad. I am not sure how this works so I just hit reply. Don't know how to fill out the information everyone seems to have on the side (not too great with computers.
I got married in January and the application was submitted on January 28th, 2012. I received my approval as a sponsor on May 25th, 2012 and now I am in a waiting game like everyone else.
It's tough....so I am so glad to find a forum where I can read about other peoples frustrations and joys.
Hope I did this right.

Jamgirl, congrats on the bit of news that you got! You are on the last leg of your journey now my girl. Praying for you to have your hubby home by xmas.

Prayers going out to Anada and all the hubbies, wives and children down in JA right now. Stay safe and blessing to all to get thru this safely. Definitely can say we aren't going to hear much from Kingston this week that is for sure but that is ok as long as the building stays in one piece so they can all go back to work soon! :P

Well I am moving into my new apartment this weekend. Spent all last weekend painting and this week I am moving things in little by little. Going to stay in my new pad tonight for the first time, have to sleep on the floor cause my beds not coming until Saturday but that's ok, I got lots of blankets to sleep on and make myself comfy. This is a first for me to live on my own, I am leaving a house where I lived with 2 other people so I am not sure how I am going to manage, I am excited and nervous at the same time. I am the type of person who doesn't like to be alone so I know depression will hit me eventually but I know I have to do this. Just keep telling myself "you can do this!"

Take care and have a good night all!
